我願爾眾言方言、尤願爾預言、蓋言方言者、若不譯之、使會建立、則預言者較之為大矣、

我願爾曹皆言方言、更願爾為先知講道、蓋言方言者、若不解使教會建德、則為先知講道者、較彼為大、

I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.

I would like all of you to speak in other languages. But I would rather have you prophesy. The person who prophesies is more helpful than those who speak in other languages. But that is not the case if someone explains what was said in the other languages. Then the whole church can be built up.

Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.

我謝上帝、得言諸國方言、多於爾眾、但在會中、與其言諸國方言以萬者、寧言五語、使明吾意以訓眾、兄弟乎、論智勿效赤子、論惡可效赤子、論智當效成人、載在律法、主曰、雖以諸國方言、及異音諭斯民、其亦不聽我矣、於是以諸國方言為徵、非示信者、乃示不信者、以設教為徵、非示不信者、乃示信者、全會既集、如眾言諸國方言、有蚩氓及不信者入焉、豈不謂爾狂乎、如眾設教、有不信者、及蚩氓入焉、遂因以自責、因以自評、其心之隱微顯著、伏拜上帝、言上帝在爾中矣、兄弟乎、事當若何、爾既集、各人或頌詩、或教訓、或言諸國方言、或默示、或譯諸國方言、皆宜行之以輔德、如有言諸國方言、第二三人依次而言、一人譯之、若無人譯之、則言諸國方言者、宜緘默於會中、第以心籲上帝、可也、設教者亦二三人、餘則別其所言真偽、旁坐者得默示、初言者當緘默、然則設教者、當秩然有序、致眾學道、致眾安慰、設教者雖由神賜、而語默由己、上帝非令人亂、乃令人和、在聖徒諸會皆然、婦女在會宜默、不許言、務承順、如律法所命、婦女欲有所學、可歸問其夫、蓋婦女在會言者、恥也、上帝之道、由爾出乎、豈獨授爾乎、有設教者、或感於神者、必知我所書、為主之命矣、其不知者聽之、兄弟宜慕設教、莫禁言諸國方言、皆當秩然、合宜而行焉、

爾曹若求神賜、宜於益會之事求其多、言諸國方言者、宜求能譯、

嫩之子約書亞尚幼、為摩西從者、曰、請主禁之。摩西曰、豈緣我故有所嫉乎。願耶和華悉賦億兆以神、使之感神而言。

當求仁、而慕神賜、最要者惟設教、

上帝立人於教會、一使徒、二先知、三教師、繼以異能、醫術、與佐事者、治理者、言諸國方言者、眾豈使徒、先知、教師乎、眾豈有異能醫術乎、眾豈能言諸國方言乎、眾豈能譯方言乎、

設教者、是與人言、輔德、勸勉、安慰者也、言諸國方言者益己、設教者益會、
