And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop.

What if a message from God comes to someone else who is sitting there? Then the one who is speaking should stop.

If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent.

But if someone is prophesying and another person receives a revelation from the Lord, the one who is speaking must stop.

But if something has been revealed to another person sitting there, the first prophet should be silent.

But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent.

If[ any thing] be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.

And if someone sitting down receives a revelation, the person who is speaking should conclude.

Pay attention, Job, listen to me; Keep silent, and let me speak.Then if you have anything to say, answer me; Speak, for I would take pleasure in justifying you.If not, listen to me; Keep silent, and I will teach you wisdom.”

Do not quench the Spirit,do not utterly reject prophecies,

“ Behold, I waited for your words, I listened to your skillful speech, While you pondered what to say.

What is the outcome then, brothers and sisters? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. All things are to be done for edification.

“ They are dismayed, they no longer answer; Words have failed them.Should I wait, because they are not speaking, Because they have stopped and no longer answer?I too will give my share of answers; I also will tell my opinion.For I am full of words; The spirit within me compels me.Behold, my belly is like unvented wine; Like new wineskins, it is about to burst.Let me speak so that I may get relief; Let me open my lips and answer.

But now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophecy, or of teaching?
