那时，耶稣说：“父啊，天地的主，我感谢你！因为你将这些事向聪明通达人就藏起来，向婴孩就显出来。

我所祷告的，就是要你们的爱心在知识和各样见识上多而又多，

弟兄们，我从前对你们说话，不能把你们当作属灵的，只得把你们当作属肉体，在基督里为婴孩的。我是用奶喂你们，没有用饭喂你们。那时你们不能吃，就是如今还是不能。

使我们不再作小孩子，中了人的诡计和欺骗的法术，被一切异教之风摇动，飘来飘去，就随从各样的异端；惟用爱心说诚实话，凡事长进，连于元首基督。

所以我们中间，凡是完全人总要存这样的心；若在什么事上存别样的心，神也必以此指示你们。

所以，我们应当离开基督道理的开端，竭力进到完全的地步，不必再立根基，就如那懊悔死行、信靠神、各样洗礼、按手之礼、死人复活，以及永远审判各等教训。神若许我们，我们必如此行。

看你们学习的工夫，本该作师傅，谁知还得有人将神圣言小学的开端另教导你们，并且成了那必须吃奶、不能吃干粮的人。凡只能吃奶的都不熟练仁义的道理，因为他是婴孩；

我比我的师傅更通达，因我思想你的法度。

我实在告诉你们，凡要承受神国的，若不像小孩子，断不能进去。”
