Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.

你們的順服已經名聞各處，所以我為你們高興。我願你們在善事上有智慧，在惡事上毫不沾染。

然而在信心成熟的人中間，我們也講智慧，但不是這世代的智慧，也不是這世代將要滅亡的執政者的智慧。

“我實在告訴你們，如果你們不回轉，變成像小孩子一樣，一定不能進天國。

你們卻要在我們的主、救主耶穌基督的恩典和知識上長進。願榮耀歸給他，從現在直到永遠。阿們。

就在那時候，耶穌說：“父啊，天地的主，我讚美你，因為你把這些事向智慧和聰明的人隱藏起來，卻向嬰孩顯明。

我所禱告的，是要你們的愛心，在充足的知識和各樣的見識上，多而又多，

弟兄們，我從前對你們說話，還不能把你們看作屬靈的人，只能看作屬肉體的人，看作在基督裡的嬰孩。我餵給你們吃的是奶，不是飯，因為那時你們不能吃，就是現在還是不能，

使我們不再作小孩子，中了人的詭計和騙人的手段，給異教之風搖撼，飄來飄去，卻要在愛中過誠實的生活，在各方面長進，達到基督的身量。他是教會的頭，

所以，我們中間凡是成熟的人，都應當這樣思想。即使你們不是這樣思想，神也會把這事指示你們。

所以，我們應當離開基督初步的道理，努力進到成熟的地步，不必在懊悔致死的行為，信靠神，洗禮，按手禮，死人復活，和永遠審判的教訓上再立根基。

到這個時候，你們應該已經作老師了；可是你們還需要有人再把神道理的初步教導你們。你們成了只能吃奶而不能吃乾糧的人！凡是吃奶的，還是個嬰孩，對公義的道理沒有經歷；

我比我所有的老師明智，因為我默想你的法度。

我實在告訴你們，凡是不像小孩子一樣接受神的國的，絕對不能進去。”

耶和華啊！我的心不驕傲，我的眼不自高；重大和超過我能力的事，我都不敢作。（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）我的心平靜安穩，像斷過奶的孩子躺在他母親的懷中，我的心在我裡面真像斷過奶的孩子。

他必以敬畏耶和華為樂。他不憑眼睛所見的施行審判，也不憑耳朵所聽的斷定是非；

他回答：“造物者從起初‘造人的時候，就造男造女’。‘因此人要離開父母，與妻子連合，二人成為一體。’這些話你們沒有念過嗎？
