要讓基督的話豐豐富富地住在你們裏面，用各樣智慧彼此教導勸戒，以「詩篇」、頌詞、靈歌、帶着感恩的情調、用心詠讚上帝。

但時候必到，如今就是了，這時真的敬拜者就要用心靈和「真實」敬拜父；因為父正尋找這樣敬拜他的人。上帝是靈；敬拜他的應當用心靈和「真實」來敬拜。』

藉着各樣的禱告和祈求、時時刻刻用心靈祈禱；以十二分的恆心專在這事上覺醒着，為眾聖徒祈求，

故此別做糊塗人了，卻要明曉主的旨意是甚麼。別醉酒了（醉中有放蕩），卻要充充滿滿地滿有聖靈。以「詩篇」、頌詞、詩歌、彼此對說，用心詠讚歌頌主；時常奉我們主耶穌基督的名為萬事感謝父上帝，

但你們呢、親愛的，你們要在你們至聖的信仰上建立自己，依聖靈而禱告，

所以弟兄們，我憑着上帝的憐憫勸你們、將你們的身體獻上做祭物，是活的，是聖別的，是上帝所喜歡的，是你們心神的事奉。別和今世同形狀了，乃要以心思之更新而變了形質，使你們能察驗甚麼是上帝的旨意，甚麼是那美善的、可喜歡的、純全的事。

因為上帝是全地的王；你們要唱沉思默想的詩來讚美。

但在集會中，我寧願用心思說上五句話、來教導人，強過捲舌頭說一萬句！

那我是說甚麼呢？是說祭偶像之物算得了甚麼呢？還是說偶像算得了甚麼呢？

但是我們的不義倘若證明上帝的義來，那要怎麼講呢？難道說上帝顯義怒是不義麼？（我且照人的講法說話吧）。

這能怎麼樣呢？反正用各樣方法罷，或用掩飾、或用真誠、基督究竟是被傳揚了。在這事上我倒歡喜，並且還要歡喜。

既然如此，對這些事我們可怎麼說呢？上帝若為我們，誰能敵我們呢？

我在他兒子福音上、用心靈所事奉的上帝給我作證、我怎樣不住地提到你們，
