你们要让基督的道丰丰富富地住在你们心里，以各样的智慧，彼此教导，互相劝戒，用诗章、圣诗、灵歌，怀着感恩的心歌颂神。

然而时候将到，现在就是了，那靠着圣灵按着真理敬拜父的，才是真正敬拜的人；因为父在寻找这样敬拜他的人。神是灵，敬拜他的必须靠着圣灵按着真理敬拜他。”

藉着各样的祷告和祈求，随时在圣灵里祈祷，并且要在这事上恒久警醒，为众圣徒祈求。

因此，不要作糊涂人，要明白什么是主的旨意。不要醉酒，醉酒能使人放荡乱性，却要让圣灵充满。应当用诗章、圣诗、灵歌，彼此呼应，口唱心和地赞美主。凡事要奉我们主耶稣基督的名，常常感谢父神，

但你们呢，亲爱的，你们要在至圣的信仰上建立自己，在圣灵里祷告，

所以弟兄们，我凭着神的仁慈劝你们，要把身体献上，作圣洁而蒙神悦纳的活祭；这是你们理所当然的事奉（“理所当然的事奉”或译：“属灵的敬拜”）。不要模仿这个世代，倒要藉着心意的更新而改变过来，使你们可以察验出什么是神的旨意，就是察验出什么是美好的、蒙他悦纳的和完全的事。

因为神是全地的王，你们要用诗歌歌颂他。

但在教会中，我宁愿用理智说五句话去教导人，胜过用方言说万句话。

我说的是什么意思呢？偶像算得什么，还是祭过偶像的食物算得什么？

我且照着人的见解来说，我们的不义若彰显神的义，我们可以说什么呢？难道降怒的神是不义的吗？

那有什么关系呢？真心也好，假意也好，无论怎么样，基督总被传开了，为此我就欢喜；并且我还要欢喜，

既是这样，我们对这一切还有什么话说呢？神若这样为我们，谁能敌对我们呢？
