“ Behold, I know your thoughts, the plans with which you would wrong me.

For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly and put them to shame who don’t have enough? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.

But if any man thinks that he is behaving inappropriately toward his virgin, if she is past the flower of her age, and if need so requires, let him do what he desires. He doesn’t sin. Let them marry.

Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,and said to him,“ Do you know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam didn’t believe them.Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying,“ Please let me go, and I will kill Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man will know it. Why should he take your life, that all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish?”But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah,“ You shall not do this thing; for you speak falsely of Ishmael.”

Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth.

Moses was very angry, and said to Yahweh,“ Don’t respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them.”

Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them,“ Hear now, you rebels! Shall we bring water out of this rock for you?”Moses lifted up his hand, and struck the rock with his rod twice, and water came out abundantly. The congregation and their livestock drank.Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron,“ Because you didn’t believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

He who is quick to become angry will commit folly, and a crafty man is hated.

Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies.
