So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in[ his] brother’s way.I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that[ there is] nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him[ it is] unclean.But if thy brother be grieved with[ thy] meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw[ it], he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman[ this is] that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

That there should be no schism in the body; but[ that] the members should have the same care one for another.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched[ it] out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

They angered[ him] also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.

Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices[ which] ye wrongfully imagine against me.

But I[ was] like a lamb[ or] an ox[ that] is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me,[ saying], Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

For in eating every one taketh before[ other] his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise[ you] not.

Even as I please all[ men] in all[ things], not seeking mine own profit, but the[ profit] of many, that they may be saved.

For God is not[ the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but[ they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.Let all things be done decently and in order.

Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.Give heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them,[ and] to turn away thy wrath from them.

But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of[ her] age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.

And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David[ rather] sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that[ were] in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.Then Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know[ it]: wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.

( Now the man Moses[ was] very meek, above all the men which[ were] upon the face of the earth.)

And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts[ also].And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

[ He that is] soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for[ her] hair is given her for a covering.But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
