Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and[ of] a good conscience, and[ of] faith unfeigned:

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only[ use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.For all the law is fulfilled in one word,[ even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.[ This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are[ these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told[ you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world,[ even] our faith.Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

To whom God would make known what[ is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him[ that is] from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual[ gifts], but rather that ye may prophesy.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

They on the rock[ are they], which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of[ this] life, and bring no fruit to perfection.But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep[ it], and bring forth fruit with patience.

Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him,[ who is] the health of my countenance, and my God.

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.For by it the elders obtained a good report.Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.But without faith[ it is] impossible to please[ him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and[ that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

Happy[ is he] that[ hath] the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope[ is] in the LORD his God:
