Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him.This is how we know that we love God’s children when we love God and obey His commands.For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith.And who is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

If anyone’s work that he has built survives, he will receive a reward.

I have written to you, children, because you have come to know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have come to know the One who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, God’s word remains in you, and you have had victory over the evil one.

Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, and above all that you may prophesy.

Now we want each of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the final realization of your hope,

And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, welcome the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and depart in a time of testing.As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who, when they have heard, go on their way and are choked with worries, riches, and pleasures of life, and produce no mature fruit.But the seed in the good ground— these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit.

About food offered to idols: We know that“ we all have knowledge.” Knowledge inflates with pride, but love builds up.

Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God.

But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.For our ancestors won God’s approval by it.By faith we understand that the universe was created by God’s command, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible.By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was approved as a righteous man, because God approved his gifts, and even though he is dead, he still speaks through his faith.By faith Enoch was taken away so he did not experience death, and he was not to be found because God took him away. For prior to his removal he was approved, since he had pleased God.Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

So don’t throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
