使我無愛德、而徒能操萬國之音、作天神之語、則猶鳴鑼擊鈸而已矣。

The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!

For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

Now regarding your question about food that has been offered to idols. Yes, we know that“ we all have knowledge” about this issue. But while knowledge makes us feel important, it is love that strengthens the church.

Dear brothers and sisters, if I should come to you speaking in an unknown language, how would that help you? But if I bring you a revelation or some special knowledge or prophecy or teaching, that will be helpful.Even lifeless instruments like the flute or the harp must play the notes clearly, or no one will recognize the melody.And if the bugler doesn’t sound a clear call, how will the soldiers know they are being called to battle?

They brag about themselves with empty, foolish boasting. With an appeal to twisted sexual desires, they lure back into sin those who have barely escaped from a lifestyle of deception.

“ And he will answer,‘ I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’

Are we all apostles? Are we all prophets? Are we all teachers? Do we all have the power to do miracles?Do we all have the gift of healing? Do we all have the ability to speak in unknown languages? Do we all have the ability to interpret unknown languages? Of course not!

To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.

And if another believer is distressed by what you eat, you are not acting in love if you eat it. Don’t let your eating ruin someone for whom Christ died.

that I was caught up to paradise and heard things so astounding that they cannot be expressed in words, things no human is allowed to tell.

And if the ear says,“ I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body?
