Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become[ as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

我若能说万人的方言，并天使的话语，却没有爱，我就成了鸣的锣，响的钹一般。

我若能说人间的方言，甚至天使的语言，却没有爱，我就成为鸣的锣、响的钹一般。

我若能說人間的方言，甚至天使的語言，卻沒有愛，我就成為鳴的鑼、響的鈸一般。

即使我能說人類和天使的各種語言，如果沒有愛，我不過像咣咣作響的鑼和鈸。

我若能說世人和天使的方言，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼、響的鈸一樣。

假使我用人之捲舌頭說話、甚至於用天使的語言來說話，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼響的鈸一般。

如果我能說人間和天使的各種殊言，卻沒有愛，我就成了嘈雜的鑼、鳴響的鈸；

我若能言諸國諸天使之言而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、

我如能言諸國方言、與天使之言、而無仁、則猶鳴金敲鈸、

我雖能言世人及天使之言、若無愛、則如鳴鉦響鈸、

使我無愛德、而徒能操萬國之音、作天神之語、則猶鳴鑼擊鈸而已矣。

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

Suppose I speak in the languages of human beings or of angels. If I don’t have love, I am only a loud gong or a noisy cymbal.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak human or angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak human or angelic languages but do not have love, I am a sounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and[ of] a good conscience, and[ of] faith unfeigned:

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

And though I have[ the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.And though I bestow all my goods to feed[ the poor], and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity never faileth: but whether[ there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether[ there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether[ there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

For when they speak great swelling[ words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh,[ through much] wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did[ it] not to one of the least of these, ye did[ it] not to me.

[ Are] all apostles?[ are] all prophets?[ are] all teachers?[ are] all workers of miracles?Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

But if thy brother be grieved with[ thy] meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
