If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

我若能说万人的方言，并天使的话语，却没有爱，我就成了鸣的锣，响的钹一般。

我若能說人間的方言，甚至天使的語言，卻沒有愛，我就成為鳴的鑼、響的鈸一般。

我若能說人間的方言，甚至天使的語言，卻沒有愛，我就成為鳴的鑼、響的鈸一般。

即使我能說人類和天使的各種語言，如果沒有愛，我不過像咣咣作響的鑼和鈸。

我若能說世人和天使的方言，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼、響的鈸一樣。

假使我用人之捲舌頭說話、甚至於用天使的語言來說話，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼響的鈸一般。

如果我能說人間和天使的各種殊言，卻沒有愛，我就成了嘈雜的鑼、鳴響的鈸；

我若能言諸國諸天使之言而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、

我如能言諸國方言、與天使之言、而無仁、則猶鳴金敲鈸、

我雖能言世人及天使之言、若無愛、則如鳴鉦響鈸、

使我無愛德、而徒能操萬國之音、作天神之語、則猶鳴鑼擊鈸而已矣。

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

Suppose I speak in the languages of human beings or of angels. If I don’t have love, I am only a loud gong or a noisy cymbal.

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak human or angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that“ all of us possess knowledge.” This“ knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up.

Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?If even lifeless instruments, such as the flute or the harp, do not give distinct notes, how will anyone know what is played?And if the bugle gives an indistinct sound, who will get ready for battle?

For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error.

Then he will answer them, saying,‘ Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died.

and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter.

And if the ear should say,“ Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.
