有人得行異能、有人得言未來之事、有人得辨神之真偽、有人得言方言、方言或作神言除十四章十節方言之外下同有人得解方言、

或行靈蹟、或作預言、或識別神之真偽、或操方言、或譯方言；

to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

To others he gives the power to do miracles. To others he gives the ability to prophesy. To others he gives the ability to tell the spirits apart. To others he gives the ability to speak in different kinds of languages they had not known before. And to still others he gives the ability to explain what was said in those languages.

He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.

These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?

And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, and various kinds of tongues.All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they?All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?

What is the outcome then, brothers and sisters? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. All things are to be done for edification.If anyone speaks in a tongue, it must be by two or at the most three, and each one in turn, and one is to interpret;but if there is no interpreter, he is to keep silent in church; and have him speak to himself and to God.Have two or three prophets speak, and have the others pass judgment.

And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

Pursue love, yet earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.For the one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people, but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.But the one who prophesies speaks to people for edification, exhortation, and consolation.The one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but the one who prophesies edifies the church.Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but rather that you would prophesy; and greater is the one who prophesies than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edification.

“ It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, Your old men will have dreams, Your young men will see visions.

Therefore if the whole church gathers together and all the people speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are insane?But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all;

For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be exhorted;and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets;

If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.]][[ And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself also sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.]]

Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse declares, The man who was raised on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob And the sweet psalmist of Israel, declares,“ The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me, And His word was on my tongue.

‘ And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,‘ That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, And your young men will see visions, And your old men will have dreams;And even on My male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days, And they will prophesy.

But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture becomes a matter of someone’s own interpretation,for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

do not utterly reject prophecies,

God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.

‘ I know your deeds and your labor and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people, and you have put those who call themselves apostles to the test, and they are not, and you found them to be false;

For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter responded,“ Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?”

And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

Now this man had four virgin daughters who were prophetesses.As we were staying there for some days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.

When they came there to the hill, behold, a group of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, so that he prophesied among them.And it came about, when all who previously knew him saw that he was indeed prophesying with the prophets, that the people said to one another,“ What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land?

in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and all around as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

“ Brothers, I may confidently say to you regarding the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.So because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one of his descendants on his throne,

Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I am going to the Father.

However, since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if prophecy, in proportion to one’s faith;

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with.

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him; and He took away some of the Spirit who was upon him and placed Him upon the seventy elders. And when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. Yet they did not do it again.But two men had remained in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other, Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them( and they were among those who had been registered, but had not gone out to the tent), and they prophesied in the camp.So a young man ran and informed Moses, and said,“ Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”Then Joshua the son of Nun, the personal servant of Moses from his youth, responded and said,“ My lord Moses, restrain them!”But Moses said to him,“ Are you jealous for my sake? If only all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”

Then Saul sent messengers to take David, but when they saw the company of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing and presiding over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul; and they also prophesied.When Saul was informed of this, he sent other messengers, but they also prophesied. So Saul sent messengers again the third time, yet they prophesied.Then he went to Ramah himself and came as far as the large well that is in Secu; and he asked,“ Where are Samuel and David?” And someone said,“ Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.”So he proceeded there to Naioth in Ramah; but the Spirit of God came upon him also, so that he went along prophesying continually until he came to Naioth in Ramah.He also stripped off his clothes, and he too prophesied before Samuel and lay down naked all that day and all night. Therefore they say,“ Is Saul also among the prophets?”

One of them, named Agabus, stood up and indicated by the Spirit that there would definitely be a severe famine all over the world. And this took place in the reign of Claudius.

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.Now there were Jews residing in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together and they were bewildered, because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.They were amazed and astonished, saying,“ Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,Cretans and Arabs— we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty deeds of God.”And they all continued in amazement and great perplexity, saying to one another,“ What does this mean?”
