有人得行異能、有人得言未來事、有人得別感神真偽、有人得言諸國方言、有人得譯諸國方言、

有人得行異能、有人得言未來之事、有人得辨神之真偽、有人得言方言、方言或作神言除十四章十節方言之外下同有人得解方言、

或行靈蹟、或作預言、或識別神之真偽、或操方言、或譯方言；

to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

To others he gives the power to do miracles. To others he gives the ability to prophesy. To others he gives the ability to tell the spirits apart. To others he gives the ability to speak in different kinds of languages they had not known before. And to still others he gives the ability to explain what was said in those languages.

He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you,[ doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.[ Are] all apostles?[ are] all prophets?[ are] all teachers?[ are] all workers of miracles?Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.If any man speak in an[ unknown] tongue,[ let it be] by two, or at the most[ by] three, and[ that] by course; and let one interpret.But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual[ gifts], but rather that ye may prophesy.For he that speaketh in an[ unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth[ him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men[ to] edification, and exhortation, and comfort.He that speaketh in an[ unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater[ is] he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

And it shall come to pass afterward,[ that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in[ those that are] unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or[ one] unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become[ as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.And though I have[ the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with[ them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Now these[ be] the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man[ who was] raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word[ was] in my tongue.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake[ as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,[ that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Despise not prophesyings.

God also bearing[ them] witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

And when Paul had laid[ his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.And as we tarried[ there] many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.

And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What[ is] this[ that] is come unto the son of Kish?[ Is] Saul also among the prophets?And one of the same place answered and said, But who[ is] their father? Therefore it became a proverb,[ Is] Saul also among the prophets?And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place.

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back[ part] of the price of the land?

Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Men[ and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater[ works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy,[ let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;

Charity never faileth: but whether[ there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether[ there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether[ there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away.

And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that[ was] upon him, and gave[ it] unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass,[ that], when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.But there remained two[ of the] men in the camp, the name of the one[ was] Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they[ were] of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses,[ one] of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets,[ and] that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing[ as] appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that[ is] in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where[ are] Samuel and David? And[ one] said, Behold,[ they be] at Naioth in Ramah.And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say,[ Is] Saul also among the prophets?

And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
