But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.

When the Lord judges us in this way, he corrects us. Then in the end we will not be judged along with the rest of the world.

Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Yah has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.

As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.

My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;for whom Yahweh loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, and teach out of your law,that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

“ Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.For he wounds and binds up. He injures and his hands make whole.

You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you.

Why should you be beaten more, that you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

She didn’t obey the voice. She didn’t receive correction. She didn’t trust in Yahweh. She didn’t draw near to her God.

You shall tell them,‘ This is the nation that has not listened to Yahweh their God’s voice, nor received instruction. Truth has perished, and is cut off from their mouth.’

“ For has any said to God,‘ I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?

He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.He is chastened also with pain on his bed, with continual strife in his bones,so that his life abhors bread, and his soul dainty food.His flesh is so consumed away that it can’t be seen. His bones that were not seen stick out.Yes, his soul draws near to the pit, and his life to the destroyers.“ If there is beside him an angel, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right for him;then God is gracious to him, and says,‘ Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.’His flesh will be fresher than a child’s. He returns to the days of his youth.He prays to God, and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy. He restores to man his righteousness.He sings before men, and says,‘ I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it didn’t profit me.He has redeemed my soul from going into the pit. My life will see the light.’“ Behold, God does all these things, twice, yes three times, with a man,to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
