Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.

你們又忘了那勸你們如同勸兒子的話，說：我兒，你不可輕看主的管教，被他責備的時候也不可灰心；因為主所愛的，他必管教，又鞭打凡所收納的兒子。你們所忍受的，是神管教你們，待你們如同待兒子。焉有兒子不被父親管教的呢？管教原是眾子所共受的。你們若不受管教，就是私子，不是兒子了。再者，我們曾有生身的父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況萬靈的父，我們豈不更當順服他得生嗎？生身的父都是暫隨己意管教我們；惟有萬靈的父管教我們，是要我們得益處，使我們在他的聖潔上有分。凡管教的事，當時不覺得快樂，反覺得愁苦；後來卻為那經練過的人結出平安的果子，就是義。

耶和華雖嚴嚴地懲治我，卻未曾將我交於死亡。

凡我所疼愛的，我就責備管教他；所以你要發熱心，也要悔改。

我兒，你不可輕看耶和華的管教，也不可厭煩他的責備；因為耶和華所愛的，他必責備，正如父親責備所喜愛的兒子。

耶和華啊，你所管教、用律法所教訓的人是有福的！你使他在遭難的日子得享平安；惟有惡人陷在所挖的坑中。

因此，在你們中間有好些軟弱的與患病的，死的也不少。

神所懲治的人是有福的！所以你不可輕看全能者的管教。因為他打破，又纏裹；他擊傷，用手醫治。

你當心裏思想，耶和華－你神管教你，好像人管教兒子一樣。

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，還要受責打嗎？你們已經滿頭疼痛，全心發昏。

她不聽從命令，不領受訓誨，不倚靠耶和華，不親近她的神。

你要對他們說：這就是不聽從耶和華－他們神的話、不受教訓的國民；從他們的口中，誠實滅絕了。」

有誰對神說：我受了責罰，不再犯罪；我所看不明的，求你指教我；我若作了孽，必不再作？

攔阻人不陷於坑裏，不死在刀下。人在牀上被懲治，骨頭中不住地疼痛，以致他的口厭棄食物，心厭惡美味。他的肉消瘦，不得再見；先前不見的骨頭都凸出來。他的靈魂臨近深坑；他的生命近於滅命的。一千天使中，若有一個作傳話的與神同在，指示人所當行的事，神就給他開恩，說：救贖他免得下坑；我已經得了贖價。他的肉要比孩童的肉更嫩；他就返老還童。他禱告神，神就喜悅他，使他歡呼朝見神的面；神又看他為義。他在人前歌唱說：我犯了罪，顛倒是非，這竟與我無益。神救贖我的靈魂免入深坑；我的生命也必見光。神兩次、三次向人行這一切的事，為要從深坑救回人的靈魂，使他被光照耀，與活人一樣。

我們曉得律法上的話都是對律法以下之人說的，好塞住各人的口，叫普世的人都伏在神審判之下。
