We should think more carefully about what we are doing. Then we would not be found guilty for this.

我们若是先分辨自己，就不至于受审。

我们若是先省察自己，就不至于受审判。

我们若是先省察自己，就不至于受审判。

如果我们先自我省察，就不会遭受审判了。

我们若仔细省察自己，就不会受审判了。

但如果我们省察自己，就不会受惩罚；

But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged.

If we were properly evaluating ourselves, we would not be judged,

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged.

For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.

When I kept silent about my sin, my body became weak because I groaned all day long.Day and night you punished me. I became weaker and weaker as I do in the heat of summer.Then I admitted my sin to you. I didn’t cover up the wrong I had done. I said,“ I will admit my lawless acts to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

Think about how far you have fallen! Turn away from your sins. Do the things you did at first. If you don’t, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

Wake up! Strengthen what is left, or it will die. You have not done all that my God wants you to do.So remember what you have been taught and have heard. Hold firmly to it. Turn away from your sins. If you don’t wake up, I will come like a thief. You won’t know when I will come to you.

Everyone should take a careful look at themselves before they eat the bread and drink from the cup.

I will get up and go back to my father. I will say to him,“ Father, I have sinned against heaven. And I have sinned against you.I am no longer fit to be called your son. What we did when we were young brought dishonor on us.’Aren’t the people of Ephraim my dear children? Aren’t they the children I take delight in? I often speak against them. But I still remember them. So my heart longs for them. I love them with a tender love,” announces the Lord.
