所以，無論何人，不按理吃主的餅，喝主的杯，就是干犯主的身、主的血了。

凡食主餅、飲主杯、而不合宜者、即干主身與血也、

凡食此餅、飲此杯、不合其宜者、是負主身主血者也、

故凡不合宜而食此餅飲主之杯者、即干主之體主之血矣、

故凡輕率冒昧、妄食聖餅、妄領聖爵者、則褻瀆聖體與聖血矣。

So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

我是從天上降下來生命的糧；人若吃這糧，就必永遠活着。我所要賜的糧就是我的肉，為世人之生命所賜的。」

你們不能喝主的杯又喝鬼的杯，不能吃主的筵席又吃鬼的筵席。

「你曉諭以色列人說：你們和你們後代中，若有人因死屍而不潔淨，或在遠方行路，還要向耶和華守逾越節。

王進來觀看賓客，見那裏有一個沒有穿禮服的，

何況人踐踏神的兒子，將那使他成聖之約的血當作平常，又褻慢施恩的聖靈，你們想，他要受的刑罰該怎樣加重呢！

那潔淨而不行路的人若推辭不守逾越節，那人要從民中剪除；因為他在所定的日期不獻耶和華的供物，應該擔當他的罪。

叫人活着的乃是靈，肉體是無益的。我對你們所說的話就是靈，就是生命。只是你們中間有不信的人。」耶穌從起頭就知道誰不信他，誰要賣他。

我這話不是指着你們眾人說的，我知道我所揀選的是誰。現在要應驗經上的話，說：『同我吃飯的人用腳踢我。』如今事情還沒有成就，我要先告訴你們，叫你們到事情成就的時候可以信我是基督。我實實在在地告訴你們，有人接待我所差遣的，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待那差遣我的。」耶穌說了這話，心裏憂愁，就明說：「我實實在在地告訴你們，你們中間有一個人要賣我了。」門徒彼此對看，猜不透所說的是誰。有一個門徒，是耶穌所愛的，側身挨近耶穌的懷裏。西門‧彼得點頭對他說：「你告訴我們，主是指着誰說的。」那門徒便就勢靠着耶穌的胸膛，問他說：「主啊，是誰呢？」耶穌回答說：「我蘸一點餅給誰，就是誰。」耶穌就蘸了一點餅，遞給加略人西門的兒子猶大。他吃了以後，撒但就入了他的心。耶穌便對他說：「你所做的，快做吧！」

亞倫的兒子拿答、亞比戶各拿自己的香爐，盛上火，加上香，在耶和華面前獻上凡火，是耶和華沒有吩咐他們的，就有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們燒滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。於是摩西對亞倫說：「這就是耶和華所說：『我在親近我的人中要顯為聖；在眾民面前，我要得榮耀。』」亞倫就默默不言。

以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫有許多人尚未自潔，他們卻也吃逾越節的羊羔，不合所記錄的定例。希西家為他們禱告說：「凡專心尋求神，就是耶和華－他列祖之神的，雖不照着聖所潔淨之禮自潔，求至善的耶和華也饒恕他。」
