爾飲食豈無家乎、抑輕視上帝會、使無者恥乎、然則我將何言、因此譽爾乎、不譽也、○

爾欲飲食、豈無室乎、何藐上帝會、使無者恥乎、夫如是、而謂吾許爾乎、吾弗與也、

爾欲飲食、豈無家乎、抑爾輕視天主之會、使貧乏者恥乎、我則何言、以此嘉獎爾乎、我不嘉獎爾、○

嗚呼、爾豈無私宅為爾飲食之所乎？抑爾藐視天主聖堂、而欲以飲食炫耀窮人之耳目乎？然則、吾將何言、謂吾與爾乎、吾弗與也。

Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God by humiliating those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? Certainly not in this matter!

What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly and put them to shame who don’t have enough? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.

譏笑窮乏人的，是蔑視造他的主；幸災樂禍的，難免受罰。

你們不要使猶太人、希臘人，或上帝教會中的人跌倒；

聖靈立你們作全羣的監督，你們就當為自己謹慎，也為全羣謹慎，牧養上帝的教會，就是他用自己血所買來的。

我親愛的弟兄們，請聽，上帝豈不是揀選了世上的貧窮人，使他們在信心上富足，並承受他所應許給那些愛他之人的國嗎？你們卻羞辱貧窮的人。欺壓你們，拉你們到公堂去的，不就是這些富有的人嗎？

倘若我延誤了，你也可以知道在上帝的家中該怎樣做。這家就是永生上帝的教會，真理的柱石和根基。

我稱讚你們，因為你們凡事記得我，又堅守我所傳授給你們的。

我現在吩咐你們這話不是在稱讚你們，因為你們聚會是有損無益的。

人若不知道管理自己的家，怎能照管上帝的教會呢？

我原是使徒中最小的，不配稱為使徒，因為我曾迫害過上帝的教會。
