For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.

蓋食時各先食己餐、飢者有之、醉者有之、

各謀先食、饑者有之、飽者有之、

因食之時、各爭先取己餐而食、於是饑者有之、醉者亦有之、

蓋每人各先食其自備之餐；於是不獲一飽者有之、而縱飲無度者亦有之。

for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk.

The cup of blessing which we bless, isn’t it a sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, isn’t it a sharing of the body of Christ?Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don’t those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?

For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.When he had given thanks, he broke it and said,“ Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying,“ This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”
