我今致書勸爾、若有稱為兄弟者而行淫、或貪婪、或拜偶像、或詬詈、或醉酒、或勒索、如此之人、勿與之交、勿與之共食、

我見爾獲罪於主爾之天主、為己鑄犢像、速離主所命爾之道、我將二板擲之由手中、碎於爾目前、爾既犯罪、行惡於主前、干犯其怒、我又如昔伏於主前四十晝夜、不食餅、不飲水、因主怒爾特甚、氣忿震烈、欲殲滅爾、我甚畏懼、此次主又俯聽我、主亦甚怒亞倫、欲殲滅之、斯時我亦為亞倫祈禱、爾取罪之物、即所作之犢像、我焚之以火、擣碎磨細、成為細塵、以其塵灑於由山流下之溪、

我所愛者、爾當避拜偶像之事、○

約書亞聞民大呼、謂摩西曰、營中有閧聲、

但人非皆有此知識、至今尚有心念偶像者、彼食祭物、自覺為祭偶像之物、內心暗弱之故、則見污矣、
