人別尋求自己的益處了，總要尋求別人的益處。

我對眾人雖然自由，卻讓自己做了眾人的僕人，為要贏得更多的人。向猶太人我就成了猶太人，為要贏得猶太人；向律法以下的人、我自己雖不在律法之下，還做律法以下的人，為要贏得律法以下的人。向律法以外的人、我對上帝雖在律法以外，對基督卻在律法以內，我還做律法以外的人，為要贏得律法以外的人。向軟弱的人、我就成了軟弱的人，為要贏得軟弱的人：向各種人、我就成了各種人，為要用各種法子拯救些人。我為福音的緣故、行了各樣的事，為要在這事上一同有分。

我現在是要對人要好麼？還是要對上帝？或是要想法子討人喜歡麼？若是還要討人喜歡，我就不是基督的僕人了。

我們各人都要求鄰舍所喜歡的、使他得益處、以得建立。因為基督也不求自己所喜歡的；倒像經上所記：『那些辱罵你之人的辱罵、都落在我身上了！』

你們這一向還以為我們是向你們辯訴呢！不，我們乃是在基督裏、當着上帝面前說話的；而且一切都是為了建立你們的，親愛的啊。

或者可以激動我骨肉之親的羨妒，來救他們一些人。

除了這些外表的事，還有天天壓着我的職務、那為眾教會掛慮的事呢。誰軟弱，我不軟弱呢？誰絆跌，我不心中燃燒呢？
