此所謂良心平安、非指爾之良心、乃指彼之良心。寧能以吾之自由、供他人之腹誹乎？

I am referring to the other person’s conscience, not yours. For why is my freedom being judged by another’s conscience?

I’m talking about the other person’s sense of what is right and wrong, not yours. Why is my freedom being judged by what someone else thinks?

I do not mean your conscience, but his. For why should my liberty be determined by someone else’s conscience?

It might not be a matter of conscience for you, but it is for the other person.) For why should my freedom be limited by what someone else thinks?

All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the person who eats and causes offense.It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother or sister stumbles.

But take care that this freedom of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.For if someone sees you, the one who has knowledge, dining in an idol’s temple, will his conscience, if he is weak, not be strengthened to eat things sacrificed to idols?For through your knowledge the one who is weak is ruined, the brother or sister for whose sake Christ died.And so, by sinning against the brothers and sisters and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.Therefore, if food causes my brother to sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause my brother to sin.
