But if someone says to you,“ This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience.

若有人对你们说：“这是献过祭的物”，就要为那告诉你们的人，并为良心的缘故不吃。

But suppose someone says to you,“ This food has been sacrificed to a statue of a god.” Then don’t eat it. Keep in mind the good of the person who told you. And don’t eat because of a sense of what is right and wrong.

But if someone says to you,“ This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for the sake of conscience—

( But suppose someone tells you,“ This meat was offered to an idol.” Don’t eat it, out of consideration for the conscience of the one who told you.

But if someone says to you,“ This is food from a sacrifice,” do not eat it, out of consideration for the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience.

But if anyone says to you,“ This is meat sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of that one who informed you and for the sake of conscience;

But if anyone says to you,“ This was offered to idols,” do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake; for“ the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”

But if any man say unto you, This hath been offered in sacrifice, eat not, for his sake that showed it, and for conscience’ sake:

But if someone says to you,“ This is food offered to an idol,” do not eat it, out of consideration for the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake.

But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth[ is] the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:

But if someone says to you,“ This is from a sacrifice,” do not eat, because of the one who told you and because of conscience–

But if anyone says to you,“ This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For“ the earth is the Lord’s, with all its fullness.”

For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols?So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge.When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.

But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.

If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died.

To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.

Moses replied,“ When I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands in prayer to the Lord. The thunder will stop and there will be no more hail, so you may know that the earth is the Lord’s.

So do not worry, saying,‘ What shall we eat?’ or‘ What shall we drink?’ or‘ What shall we wear?’For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind.

for,“ The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;

With my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth and its people and the animals that are on it, and I give it to anyone I please.Now I will give all your countries into the hands of my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; I will make even the wild animals subject to him.
