凡售於市者食之、毋為良心而詢也、

凡售於市者、不問而食、問則心疑、

凡售於市者、食之勿問、免心有所疑、經云、

凡購於市上者、食之；為良心平安計、勿問原委。

Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience,

Eat anything sold in the meat market. Don’t ask if it’s right or wrong.

Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience.

So you may eat any meat that is sold in the marketplace without raising questions of conscience.

Eat everything that is sold in the meat market, without raising questions for the sake of conscience,

Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, eat, asking no question for conscience’ sake;

Eat anything that is sold in the marketplace without questions of conscience,

Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,

But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. (niv)

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. (niv)

Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. (niv)
