凡購於市上者、食之；為良心平安計、勿問原委。

Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience,

Eat anything sold in the meat market. Don’t ask if it’s right or wrong.

Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience.

So you may eat any meat that is sold in the marketplace without raising questions of conscience.

Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,

However, not all people have this knowledge; but some, being accustomed to the idol until now, eat food as if it were sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for the sake of conscience.

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;

I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to the one who thinks something is unclean, to that person it is unclean.

Again a voice came to him a second time,“ What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.”

If one of the unbelievers invites you and you want to go, eat anything that is set before you without asking questions, for the sake of conscience.But if anyone says to you,“ This is meat sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of that one who informed you and for the sake of conscience;Now by“ conscience” I do not mean your own, but the other person’s; for why is my freedom judged by another’s conscience?
