所以，你們該彼此勸勉，互相造就，正如你們素常做的。

你的感謝固然是好，不過不能造就別人。

你若因食物使弟兄憂愁，就不是按着愛心行事。基督已經為他死，你不可因你的食物使他敗壞。

所以，我們務要追求和平與彼此造就的事。不可因食物毀壞神的工作。一切都是潔淨的，但有人因食物使人跌倒，這在他就是惡了。

我們堅強的人應該分擔不堅強的人的軟弱，不求自己的喜悅。我們各人務必要讓鄰人喜悅，使他得益處，得造就。

弟兄們，那麼，你們該怎麼做呢？你們聚會的時候，各人或有詩歌，或有教導，或有啟示，或有方言，或有翻出來，凡事都應當造就人。

你們一直認為我們是在你們面前為自己辯護嗎？其實，我們本是在基督裏當着神面前說話。親愛的，一切的事都是為了造就你們。

也不要聽從無稽的傳說和冗長的家譜；這樣的事只會引起爭論，無助於神的計劃，這計劃是憑着信才能了解的。

你們也是如此，既然你們切慕屬靈的恩賜，就當追求多得造就教會的恩賜。

關於祭過偶像的食物，我們曉得「我們都有知識」，但知識使人自高自大，惟有愛心能造就人。

但作先知講道的，是對人說，要造就、安慰、勸勉人。說方言的，是造就自己；作先知講道的，是造就教會。我希望你們都說方言，更希望你們作先知講道；因為說方言的，若不解釋出來，使教會得造就，那作先知講道的就比他強了。
