Are we trying to make the Lord jealous? Are we stronger than he is?

我们要惹主的嫉恨吗？我们比他更强吗？

我们想惹主嫉妒吗？难道我们比祂更有能力吗？

我們想惹主嫉妒嗎？難道我們比祂更有能力嗎？

難道我們要激起主的忿怒嗎？我們比他更強嗎？

或是說我們在激動主的妒愛啊？難道我們比他還強壯麼？

難道我們要激起主的嫉恨嗎？難道我們比他更強嗎？

我儕可犯主忌乎、抑力勝於主乎、○

我豈可激主怒乎、我豈勝於主乎、

我儕可激主之怒乎、我儕豈勝於主乎、○

吾人豈欲激主之怒乎？抑吾人較主為強乎？

Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

What? Do we dare to rouse the Lord’s jealousy? Do you think we are stronger than he is?

Or are we provoking the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

Or are we provoking the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we really stronger than he is?

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

They made me jealous by serving what is not even a god. They made me angry by worshiping worthless statues of gods. I will use people who are not a nation to make them jealous. A nation that has no understanding will make them angry.

Will you be brave on the day I deal with you? Will you be strong at that time? I have spoken. I will do this. I am the Lord.

They made him jealous by serving false gods. They made him angry by worshiping statues of gods. He hated those gods.

God has already planned what now exists. He has already decided what a human being is. No one can argue with someone who is stronger.

How terrible it will be for anyone who argues with their Maker! They are like a broken piece of pottery lying on the ground. Does clay say to a potter,“ What are you making?” Does a pot say,“ The potter doesn’t have any skill”?

His wisdom is deep. His power is great. No one opposes him and comes away unharmed.

The Lord your God is like a fire that burns everything up. He wants you to worship only him.

Is your arm as powerful as mine is? Can your voice thunder as mine does?Then put on glory and beauty as if they were your clothes. Also put on honor and majesty.Let loose your great anger. Look at those who are proud and bring them low.Look at proud people and make them humble. Crush evil people right where they are.Bury their bodies together in the dust. Cover their faces in the grave.Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you.

Do not bow down to them or worship them. I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. I cause the sins of the parents to affect their children. I will cause the sins of those who hate me to affect even their grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

The Lord your God is among you. He wants you to worship only him. If you worship other gods, God will be very angry with you. And he will destroy you from the face of the land.

Do not worship any other god. The Lord is a jealous God. In fact, his name is Jealous.

They made God angry by going to their high places. They made him jealous by worshiping the statues of their gods.

It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Joshua said to the people,“ You aren’t able to serve the Lord. He is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He won’t forgive you when you disobey him. He won’t forgive you when you sin against him.

Their silver and gold won’t save them on the day the Lord pours out his anger. The whole earth will be burned up when his jealous anger blazes out. Everyone who lives on earth will come to a sudden end.”
