Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

方食、耶穌持餅、剖而授徒曰：『爾等食之、此吾體也、』更舉杯祝謝、復授之曰：『爾盡飲是、此予之血、為洗除眾人之罪而流者、亦即新約之盟血也。

恆心守持宗徒之訓、踐履相愛之道、共食所析聖餅而祈禱焉。

吾人能實踐光明之道、有如天主之光明者、則吾人實已彼此神交心契、而天主聖子耶穌之寶血、實已滌除吾人之罪矣。

夫吾所授於爾者、乃吾所受於主也。主耶穌於被逮之夕、取餅、祝而分之、曰：此乃吾體、為爾等所捨者；爾等當行此禮、以誌永懷。食後取爵亦然、曰：此爵乃吾血所立之新約、爾等每飲、當行此禮、以誌永懷。是故爾每食此餅、每飲此爵、即係紀念主之彌留、以待其重臨。故凡輕率冒昧、妄食聖餅、妄領聖爵者、則褻瀆聖體與聖血矣。務必正心誠意、深自反省、然後可食斯餅、而領斯爵。若冒昧食之、冒昧飲之、而不思此即主之聖體者、是以飲食而自取罪戾也。

眾既一德一心、日日在殿、居恆析餅以食、亦無不怡然自樂。心悅誠服、

蓋感召爾等得與其聖子耶穌基督神交心契者、乃誠實無妄之天主也。

又持餅祝謝、剖而授徒曰：『此乃吾體、為爾舍者、爾當恆行此典、以誌永懷。』晚餐畢、復舉爵曰：『此爵乃吾新約之盟血、為爾傾流者也。

週之首日、吾儕聚會析餅、葆樂以翌晨將起行、與同人暢談以迄午夜。

然外教人所祭獻之物、乃獻於魔鬼、而非獻於天主也。吾固不願爾等之與魔鬼有所共享也。爾等既飲主之爵、豈可又飲魔鬼之爵；既與主共席、能復與魔鬼共席乎？

應知吾人能堅信不渝、始終如一、則與基督融為一體矣。

葆樂復上、析餅而食、續談久之、黎明始去。

猶太人互相爭論曰：『斯人亦焉能以其軀體食吾人乎？』耶穌又謂之曰：『予切實告爾、爾苟不食人子之體而飲其血、則爾不具生命。凡食吾體而飲吾血者、乃得永生、而予必復活之於末日。蓋吾體乃真食、吾血乃真飲。食吾體而飲吾血者、存乎我而我亦存乎其中也。正如永生之父遣予、而予因父而活、食予者亦將因予而活。

吾人茲以所見所聞、傳之於爾、庶幾爾曹得與吾人神交心契、而吾人實已與聖父及其聖子耶穌基督神交心契矣。

故無論猶太人也、希臘人也、主也奴也、皆洗於一神、融為一體、且共汲同一之活泉焉。

食間、耶穌持餅、祝而剖之、分授諸徒曰：『食之、此吾體也！』復舉爵、祝謝天恩、授諸徒、徒皆飲之。耶穌曰：『此即吾新約之盟血、為大眾而傾流者。我確語爾、我從此不復飲茲葡萄之液、以迨來日飲其新者於天主國中。』
