And do not grumble, as some of them did— and were killed by the destroying angel.

Don’t speak against God. That’s what some of the people of Israel did. And they were killed by the destroying angel.

When the angel extended his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented of the disaster and said to the angel who destroyed the people,“ It is enough! Now drop your hand!” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

But on the next day all the congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron, saying,“ You are the ones who have caused the death of the Lord’s people!”

And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it; but as he was about to destroy it, the Lord saw and was sorry about the catastrophe, and said to the destroying angel,“ It is enough; now relax your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Do all things without complaining or arguments;

For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; but when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.

But grumbled in their tents; They did not listen to the voice of the Lord.

And all the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron; and the entire congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or even if we had died in this wilderness!

those men who brought the bad report of the land also died by a plague in the presence of the Lord.

By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch them.

So the people grumbled at Moses, saying,“ What are we to drink?”

So the people quarreled with Moses and said,“ Give us water so that we may drink!” And Moses said to them,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?”But the people were thirsty for water there; and they grumbled against Moses and said,“ Why is it that you have you brought us up from Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”

“ How long shall I put up with this evil congregation who are grumbling against Me? I have heard the complaints of the sons of Israel which they are voicing against Me.Say to them,‘ As I live,’ declares the Lord,‘ just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you;your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness, all your numbered men according to your complete number from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against Me.By no means will you come into the land where I swore to settle you, except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

And Moses said to Aaron,“ Take your censer and put fire in it from the altar, and place incense on it; then bring it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone out from the Lord, the plague has begun!”Then Aaron took it just as Moses had spoken, and he ran into the midst of the assembly; and behold, the plague had begun among the people. So he put on the incense and made atonement for the people.And he took his stand between the dead and the living, so that the plague was brought to a halt.But those who died by the plague were 14,700 in number, besides those who died on account of Korah.

These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.

But the whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.The sons of Israel said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread until we were full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger!”Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, so that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My instruction.On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.”So Moses and Aaron said to all the sons of Israel,“ At evening you will know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt;and in the morning you will see the glory of the Lord, for He hears your grumblings against the Lord; and what are we, that you grumble against us?”And Moses said,“ This will happen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread to the full in the morning; for the Lord hears your grumblings which you grumble against Him. And what are we? Your grumblings are not against us but against the Lord.”Then Moses said to Aaron,“ Say to all the congregation of the sons of Israel,‘ Come forward before the Lord, for He has heard your grumblings.’ ”

and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angelsin flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.

and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.So just as the weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age.The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,and they will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

And the Lord sent an angel who destroyed every warrior, commander, and officer in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned in shame to his own land. And when he had entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons killed him there with the sword.

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels,“ Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”
