And do not grumble, as some of them did— and were killed by the destroying angel.

Don’t speak against God. That’s what some of the people of Israel did. And they were killed by the destroying angel.

Then the angel extended his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, but the LORD relented concerning the destruction and said to the angel who was destroying the people,“ Enough, withdraw your hand now!” The angel of the LORD was then at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

The next day the entire Israelite community complained about Moses and Aaron, saying,“ You have killed the LORD’s people!”

Then God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it, but when the angel was about to destroy the city, the LORD looked, relented concerning the destruction, and said to the angel who was destroying the people,“ Enough, withdraw your hand now!” The angel of the LORD was then standing at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Do everything without grumbling and arguing,

When the LORD passes through to strike Egypt and sees the blood on the lintel and the two doorposts, he will pass over the door and not let the destroyer enter your houses to strike you.

They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the LORD.

All the Israelites complained about Moses and Aaron, and the whole community told them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this wilderness!

those men who spread the negative report about the land were struck down by the LORD.

By faith he instituted the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch the Israelites.

The people grumbled to Moses,“ What are we going to drink?”

So the people complained to Moses,“ Give us water to drink.”“ Why are you complaining to me?” Moses replied to them.“ Why are you testing the LORD?”But the people thirsted there for water and grumbled against Moses. They said,“ Why did you ever bring us up from Egypt to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”

“ How long must I endure this evil community that keeps complaining about me? I have heard the Israelites’ complaints that they make against me.Tell them: As I live— this is the LORD’s declaration— I will do to you exactly as I heard you say.Your corpses will fall in this wilderness— all of you who were registered in the census, the entire number of you twenty years old or more— because you have complained about me.I swear that none of you will enter the land I promised to settle you in, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Then Moses told Aaron,“ Take your firepan, place fire from the altar in it, and add incense. Go quickly to the community and make atonement for them, because wrath has come from the LORD; the plague has begun.”So Aaron took his firepan as Moses had ordered, ran into the middle of the assembly, and saw that the plague had begun among the people. After he added incense, he made atonement for the people.He stood between the dead and the living, and the plague was halted.But those who died from the plague numbered 14,700, in addition to those who died because of the Korah incident.

These people are discontented grumblers, living according to their desires; their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage.

The entire Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”Then the LORD said to Moses,“ I am going to rain bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. This way I will test them to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather on other days.”So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites,“ This evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt,and in the morning you will see the LORD’s glory because he has heard your complaints about him. For who are we that you complain about us?”Moses continued,“ The LORD will give you meat to eat this evening and all the bread you want in the morning, for he has heard the complaints that you are raising against him. Who are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the LORD.”Then Moses told Aaron,“ Say to the entire Israelite community,‘ Come before the LORD, for he has heard your complaints.’”

and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,when he takes vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

At once an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died.

and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.Therefore, just as the weeds are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom all who cause sin and those guilty of lawlessness.They will throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

and the LORD sent an angel who annihilated every valiant warrior, leader, and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned in disgrace to his land. He went to the temple of his god, and there some of his own children struck him down with the sword.

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels,“ Go and pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”
