且吾不欲兄弟之昧於史訓也。昔吾列祖、悉皆托庇祥雲、行經滄海；

For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea.

Brothers and sisters, I want you to know something about our people who lived long ago. They were all led by the cloud. They all walked through the Red Sea.

I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground.

But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the middle of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.

You divided the sea before them, so that they went through the middle of the sea on the dry land; and you cast their pursuers into the depths, as a stone into the mighty waters.Moreover, in a pillar of cloud you led them by day; and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light in the way in which they should go.

He spread a cloud for a covering, fire to give light in the night.

He split the sea, and caused them to pass through. He made the waters stand as a heap.In the daytime he also led them with a cloud, and all night with a light of fire.

Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known.He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.

But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.

By faith, they passed through the Red Sea as on dry land. When the Egyptians tried to do so, they were swallowed up.

He turned the sea into dry land. They went through the river on foot. There, we rejoiced in him.

Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

For Yahweh your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you until you had crossed over, as Yahweh your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had crossed over,

They will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you Yahweh are among this people; for you Yahweh are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them, and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.

He led them safely, so that they weren’t afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

They traveled from before Hahiroth, and crossed through the middle of the sea into the wilderness. They went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant.

and Yahweh will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.“ If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable; and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

yet you in your manifold mercies didn’t forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud didn’t depart from over them by day, to lead them in the way; neither did the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way in which they should go.

The waters saw you, God. The waters saw you, and they writhed. The depths also convulsed.The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around.The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind. The lightnings lit up the world. The earth trembled and shook.Your way was through the sea; your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known.You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

to him who divided the Red Sea apart; for his loving kindness endures forever;and made Israel to pass through the middle of it; for his loving kindness endures forever;but overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea; for his loving kindness endures forever:

who went before you on the way, to seek out a place for you to pitch your tents in: in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in the cloud by day.

The sea saw it, and fled. The Jordan was driven back.The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Jordan, that you turned back?

He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.

The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. There was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night. One didn’t come near the other all night.Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Yahweh caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.The children of Israel went into the middle of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.

On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony. At evening it was over the tabernacle, as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.So it was continually. The cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night.Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Israel encamped.At the commandment of Yahweh, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of Yahweh they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped.When the cloud stayed on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept Yahweh’s command, and didn’t travel.Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Yahweh they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Yahweh they traveled.Sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled; or by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they traveled.Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel remained encamped, and didn’t travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.

for if God didn’t spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.

Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.”

If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.

I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who overcame the beast, his image, and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,“ Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God, the Almighty! Righteous and true are your ways, you King of the nations.

Yahweh went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, didn’t depart from before the people.
