且吾不欲兄弟之昧於史訓也。昔吾列祖、悉皆托庇祥雲、行經滄海；

For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea.

Brothers and sisters, I want you to know something about our people who lived long ago. They were all led by the cloud. They all walked through the Red Sea.

I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground.

But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their pursuers thou didst cast into the depths, as a stone into the mighty waters.Moreover in a pillar of cloud thou leddest them by day; and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.

He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night.

He clave the sea, and caused them to pass through; And he made the waters to stand as a heap.In the day- time also he led them with a cloud, And all the night with a light of fire.

Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; They remembered not the multitude of thy lovingkindnesses, But were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, That he might make his mighty power to be known.He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up: So he led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.And the waters covered their adversaries; There was not one of them left.

But if any man is ignorant, let him be ignorant.

By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were swallowed up.

He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot: There did we rejoice in him.

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

For Jehovah your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as Jehovah your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were passed over;

and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that thou Jehovah art in the midst of this people; for thou Jehovah art seen face to face, and thy cloud standeth over them, and thou goest before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.

And he led them safely, so that they feared not; But the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

And they journeyed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, and the holy of Jehovah honorable; and shalt honor it, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of cloud departed not from over them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way wherein they should go.

The waters saw thee, O God; The waters saw thee, they were afraid: The depths also trembled.The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound: Thine arrows also went abroad.The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lightened the world: The earth trembled and shook.Thy way was in the sea, And thy paths in the great waters, And thy footsteps were not known.Thou leddest thy people like a flock, By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

To him that divided the Red Sea in sunder; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;And made Israel to pass through the midst of it; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:

who went before you in the way, to seek you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way ye should go, and in the cloud by day.

The sea saw it, and fled; The Jordan was driven back.The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like lambs.What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? Thou Jordan, that thou turnest back?

and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;

And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them:and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and the one came not near the other all the night.And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and Jehovah caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony: and at even it was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.So it was alway: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night.And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel encamped.At the commandment of Jehovah the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of Jehovah they encamped: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they remained encamped.And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journeyed not.And sometimes the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Jehovah they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed.And sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed: or if it continued by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.Whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Israel remained encamped, and journeyed not; but when it was taken up, they journeyed.

for if God spared not the natural branches, neither will he spare thee.

Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

And if ye are Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise.

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire; and them that come off victorious from the beast, and from his image, and from the number of his name, standing by the sea of glass, having harps of God.And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty; righteous and true are thy ways, thou King of the ages.

And Jehovah went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, departed not from before the people.
