他也揀選了世上卑賤的和被人輕視的，以及算不得甚麼的，為了要廢棄那些自以為是的，

神也拣选了世上卑贱的，被人厌恶的，以及那无有的，为要废掉那有的，

上帝也拣选了世上卑贱的，被人厌恶的，以及那一无所有的，为要废掉那样样都有的，

神也拣选了世上卑贱的，被人厌恶的，以及那一无所有的，为要废掉那样样都有的，

上帝拣选了世上卑贱的、被藐视的和无足轻重的，要使世人看为举足轻重的变得无足轻重。

他也拣选了世上卑贱的和被人轻视的，以及算不得什么的，为了要废弃那些自以为是的，

神也拣选了世上出身低微的、被人藐视的，就是那些不是什么的，为了要废除那些是个什么的，

神也揀選了世上卑賤的，被人厭惡的，以及那無有的，為要廢掉那有的，

上帝也揀選了世上卑賤的，被人厭惡的，以及那一無所有的，為要廢掉那樣樣都有的，

神也揀選了世上卑賤的，被人厭惡的，以及那一無所有的，為要廢掉那樣樣都有的，

上帝揀選了世上卑賤的、被藐視的和無足輕重的，要使世人看為舉足輕重的變得無足輕重。

上帝也揀選了世界上寒微的、被藐視的、無有的，要廢掉那些有的，

神也揀選了世上出身低微的、被人藐視的，就是那些不是什麼的，為了要廢除那些是個什麼的，

且選世之卑賤者、輕忽者、與夫無者以廢有者、

且選世之不貴者、見棄者、人視為無有者、以廢世之有者、

天主又選世之卑賤者、被藐視者、人所視為無有者、以廢世之有者、

世俗所認為卑卑不足道而視若無物者、天主則簡拔之、以毀滅有名無實之徒；

God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things— and the things that are not— to nullify the things that are,

God chose the things of this world that are common and looked down on. God chose things considered unimportant to do away with things considered important.

God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,

God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world— what is viewed as nothing— to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,

and the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,

and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, yea and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are:

God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world— what is viewed as nothing— to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen,[ yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

God chose what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something,

God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

他不必查究就可以打碎有權勢的人，並且設立別人代替他們。

如經上所記：“我已經立了你作萬國的父。”他所信的，是叫死人得生命、使無變為有的神。

人的高傲必變為謙虛，人的狂妄都必降為卑微，在那日，唯獨耶和華被高舉。

他不徇王子的情面，也不看重富人過於窮人，因為他們都是他手所造的。他們在半夜之中剎那之間死亡，平民因遭受震動而去世，有權勢的被除滅非借人手。

到那日，眼目高傲的人必降卑，性情驕傲的人也必俯首，唯獨耶和華被高舉。

與你爭競的人，你要尋找他們，卻找不著；與你交戰的人，都必如同無有，好像虛無。

我曾看見強暴的惡人興旺，像樹木在本土茂盛。但他很快就消逝，不再存在了；我尋找他，卻找不到。

萬族怒號，好像眾水湧流，但神必斥責他們，使他們遠遠逃跑；他們又被追趕，如同山上風前的糠秕，又像暴風前的塵土捲動。在晚上有驚恐，未到早晨，他們就沒有了，這是那些搶奪我們的人所得的分，是那些掠劫我們的人應得的報應。

然而在信心成熟的人中間，我們也講智慧，但不是這世代的智慧，也不是這世代將要滅亡的執政者的智慧。

一時之間，這麼大的財富竟蕩然無存！’“所有船長、旅客、水手，以及凡是靠海謀生的，都遠遠地站著。

你正觀看的時候，有一塊非人手鑿成的石頭，擊在那座大像鐵和泥混雜的腳上，把腳砸碎了。於是鐵、泥、銅、銀、金都一同砸得粉碎，好像夏天禾場上的糠秕，被風吹散，無處可尋；那打碎這像的石頭卻變成一座大山，充滿全地。

那些王在位的時候，天上的神必興起另一個永不滅亡的國，國權必不歸給別族的人。這國必砸碎毀滅其他各國；並且這國必存到永遠。正如你看見那塊從山而出，非人手鑿成的石頭，把鐵、銅、泥、銀和金都砸碎了，偉大的神已把日後必有的結局都告訴王了。這夢是確實的，夢的意思也是準確的。”

於是耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；到了早晨，有人起來，所見的都是死屍。

先前耶和華怎樣喜歡使你們得好處，使你們人數眾多，將來也必怎樣喜歡把你們滅亡，把你們消滅；你們必從要進去得為業的地上被拔除。

惡人必受許多痛苦；但倚靠耶和華的，必有慈愛四面環繞他。

我成了愚妄的人，是你們逼成的。其實你們應該稱讚我，因為我雖然算不得甚麼，卻沒有一點比不上那些“超等使徒”。
