而於蒙召之人、無論其國籍之為猶太或希臘、則為天主之德能與神慧也。

but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

但你們得在基督耶穌裏是本乎神，神又使他成為我們的智慧、公義、聖潔、救贖。

所積蓄的一切智慧知識，都在他裏面藏着。

因為十字架的道理，在那滅亡的人為愚拙；在我們得救的人，卻為神的大能。

我們曉得萬事都互相效力，叫愛神的人得益處，就是按他旨意被召的人。因為他預先所知道的人，就預先定下效法他兒子的模樣，使他兒子在許多弟兄中作長子。預先所定下的人又召他們來；所召來的人又稱他們為義；所稱為義的人又叫他們得榮耀。

神是信實的，你們原是被他所召，好與他兒子－我們的主耶穌基督一同得分。

我不以福音為恥；這福音本是神的大能，要救一切相信的，先是猶太人，後是希臘人。

在耶和華造化的起頭，在太初創造萬物之先，就有了我。從亙古，從太初，未有世界以前，我已被立。沒有深淵，沒有大水的泉源，我已生出。大山未曾奠定，小山未有之先，我已生出。耶和華還沒有創造大地和田野，並世上的土質，我已生出。他立高天，我在那裏；他在淵面的周圍，劃出圓圈。上使穹蒼堅硬，下使淵源穩固，為滄海定出界限，使水不越過他的命令，立定大地的根基。那時，我在他那裏為工師，日日為他所喜愛，常常在他面前踴躍，

按聖善的靈說，因從死裏復活，以大能顯明是神的兒子。

但智慧之子都以智慧為是。」

所以神用智慧曾說：『我要差遣先知和使徒到他們那裏去，有的他們要殺害，有的他們要逼迫』，

智慧豈不呼叫？聰明豈不發聲？

寫信給在哥林多神的教會，就是在基督耶穌裏成聖、蒙召作聖徒的，以及所有在各處求告我主耶穌基督之名的人。基督是他們的主，也是我們的主。

這器皿就是我們被神所召的，不但是從猶太人中，也是從外邦人中。這有甚麼不可呢？
