但我儕宣釘十架之基督、於猶太人則為礙、於異邦人則為愚、

余傳基督釘十字架之道、猶太人以為可厭、希利尼人以為不智、

惟我儕宣釘十字架之基督、猶太人視為礙、礙或作可厭希拉人視為愚、

而吾人所傳揚者、乃一被釘於十字架之基督耳。此於猶太人為躓石、於異邦人為愚妄；

but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

But we preach about Christ and his death on the cross. That is very hard for Jews to accept. And everyone else thinks it’s foolish.

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,

So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,

but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, and unto Gentiles foolishness;

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

but we preach about a crucified Christ, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.

but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks,

and,“ A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this they were also appointed.

But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

Then He will become a sanctuary; But to both houses of Israel, He will be a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will be snared and caught.”

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

But as for me, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been eliminated.

And Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mary,“ Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and as a sign to be opposed—

But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them,“ A prophet is not dishonored except in his hometown and in his own household.”

So Jesus said to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, the one who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.This is the bread that came down out of heaven, not as the fathers ate and died; the one who eats this bread will live forever.”These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.So then many of His disciples, when they heard this, said,“ This statement is very unpleasant; who can listen to it?”But Jesus, aware that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them,“ Is this offensive to you?What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh provides no benefit; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life.But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray Him.And He was saying,“ For this reason I have told you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.”As a result of this many of His disciples left, and would no longer walk with Him.

And blessed is any person who does not take offense at Me.”

You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?

To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

and the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,

and He said to them,“ So it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though they could by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,just as it is written:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond servants on account of Jesus.

We are witnesses of all the things that He did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He be revealed,not to all the people, but to witnesses who had been chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.And He ordered us to preach to the people, and to testify solemnly that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.All the prophets testify of Him, that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.”

‘ I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob.’ Moses shook with fear and did not dare to look closely.But the Lord said to him,‘ Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.I have certainly seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to rescue them; and now come, I will send you to Egypt.’“ This Moses whom they disowned, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush.
