智慧人在哪里？经学家在哪里？今世的辩士在哪里？神不是使属世的智慧变成了愚笨吗？

智慧人在哪里？经文士在哪里？这世代的雄辩家在哪里？神难道不使这世界的智慧成了愚拙吗？

自稱為智、適成為愚、

記有之、我將敗智者之智、廢哲者之哲、

褫謀夫、攜之去、使士師為愚、

我使誑者之兆不驗、卜筮之輩顚狂、智者卻退、其聰慧變為愚拙、

爾追憶已往之危懼、意謂會計者安在、權衡者安在、核計戍樓者安在、

亞希多弗見其所謀不從、即備驢反故邑、歸私第、處置家事、自縊而死、葬於父墓、○

押沙龍及以色列眾曰、亞基人戶篩之謀、較亞希多弗之謀尤善、蓋耶和華預定敗亞希多弗之謀、以禍押沙龍、○

所傳於我儕者、有誰信之、耶和華之臂、向誰顯之、

蓋斯世之智、於上帝為愚、記有之、主令智者自中其詭計、

然我言智於成人、非斯世之智、亦非斯世掌權者之智、以其必敗也、

廢忠誠者之才辯、奪年老者之知識、

奪諸國民長之聰明、使其流離於無路之荒野、

或告大衛曰、亞希多弗從押沙龍、在叛黨之中、大衛曰、耶和華歟、求爾使亞希多弗之謀、變為愚昧、

當日亞希多弗所設之謀、如諮諏於上帝、為大衛、為押沙龍、皆如是、

瑣安之牧伯愚甚、法老有智之謀士、所謀愚蠢、何謂法老曰、我乃哲人之後、前王之胤耶、爾之智者安在、萬軍之耶和華為埃及所定者、任其知之以告爾、
