智慧人在哪里？经学家在哪里？今世的辩士在哪里？神不是使属世的智慧变成了愚笨吗？

智慧人在哪里？经文士在哪里？这世代的雄辩家在哪里？神难道不使这世界的智慧成了愚拙吗？

而今哲人安在哉？經師安在哉？世之辯士又安在哉？此非天主已使世俗之智化為下愚乎？

So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish.

Where is the philosopher? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish?

Where is the wise man? Where is the expert in the Mosaic law? Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made the wisdom of the world foolish?

自称为聪明，反成了愚拙，

就如经上所记：“我要灭绝智慧人的智慧，废弃聪明人的聪明。”

他把谋士剥衣掳去，又使审判官变成愚人。

使说假话的兆头失效，使占卜的癫狂，使智慧人退后，使他的知识变为愚拙；

你的心必思想那惊吓的事，自问说：“记数目的在哪里呢？平贡银的在哪里呢？数戍楼的在哪里呢？”

亚希多弗见不依从他的计谋，就备上驴，归回本城；到了家，留下遗言，便吊死了，葬在他父亲的坟墓里。

押沙龙和以色列众人说：“亚基人户筛的计谋比亚希多弗的计谋更好！”这是因耶和华定意破坏亚希多弗的良谋，为要降祸与押沙龙。

我们所传的有谁信呢？耶和华的膀臂向谁显露呢？

因这世界的智慧，在神看是愚拙。如经上记着说：“主叫有智慧的，中了自己的诡计”；

然而，在完全的人中，我们也讲智慧。但不是这世上的智慧，也不是这世上有权有位、将要败亡之人的智慧。

他废去忠信人的讲论，又夺去老人的聪明。

他将地上民中首领的聪明夺去，使他们在荒废无路之地漂流；

有人告诉大卫说：“亚希多弗也在叛党之中，随从押沙龙。”大卫祷告说：“耶和华啊，求你使亚希多弗的计谋变为愚拙！”

那时亚希多弗所出的主意好像人问神的话一样；他昔日给大卫，今日给押沙龙所出的主意，都是这样。

琐安的首领极其愚昧；法老大有智慧的谋士，所筹划的成为愚谋。你们怎敢对法老说：“我是智慧人的子孙，我是古王的后裔？”你的智慧人在哪里呢？万军之耶和华向埃及所定的旨意，他们可以知道，可以告诉你吧！
