夫十字架之道、沉淪者、視為不智、我儕得救者、視為上帝大用、

因为十字架的道理，在那灭亡的人为愚拙；在我们得救的人，却为神的大能。

然未化之人、不受上帝聖神之道、而視為不智、且亦不能識、必聖神助之、乃能忖度焉、

詭詐百出、自棄者為所惑、蓋彼不願受真理致得救、

我不以基督福音為恥、是乃上帝大用、以救諸信者、先猶太、次希利尼、

如言我福音不明、則惟自棄者不明之、

余傳基督釘十字架之道、猶太人以為可厭、希利尼人以為不智、惟奉召者、則無論猶太、希利尼、皆以基督為上帝大用、上帝智慧、蓋上帝即不智、亦智於人、上帝即不能、亦能於人、

蓋耶穌基督之道、釘十字架而外、余決不與爾言他、

世人恃其智、不識上帝、故上帝喜以若愚之道、救諸信者、斯上帝之智也、

上帝使我為基督之香、俾得救及沉淪臭之、沉淪者臭此、則為死之臭、致死、得救者臭此、則為生之香、致生、誰堪任此乎、

蓋上帝之諭、活潑潑地、自有功效、利於鋒刃、凡神氣骨髓、無不剖刺、心之意念、無不鑒察、

欲以外貌誇世、強爾受割禮者、恐為基督十字架之道、見窘逐耳、彼受割而不守法、欲因爾而誇、故使爾受割、我則不然、我所誇者、惟吾主耶穌基督十字架之道、吾為斯道、視己如釘十字架、視世亦然、

蓋余用兵、非任血氣、乃託上帝有能、破諸堅壘、

吾傳福音、不第以言、乃以聖神之能、使爾篤信、爾亦知我如何為爾勞、

時、以彼古羅、士多亞智者與之爭、有曰、此嘐啁者奚為、有曰、其傳他邦之鬼神歟、蓋保羅傳福音、必稱耶穌及復生也。

爾之統轄、出自郇邑、爾之仇敵、為爾制伏、皆耶和華所使兮。秉鈞之日、爾之選民、必衣聖服、靡不樂從、爾之冠者、多於朝露兮、

爾守吾言、而信不虛、則以福音得救、

蓋此世之智、上帝以為不智、經云、主令智者自中其詭計、

眾聞復生之言、有笑之者、或曰、我儕願再聞其說、

其言曰、藐忽者乎、當爾之時、我將有所為、使爾見之、奇而駭絕、雖有人告爾、爾亦不信也、

讚美上帝、獲愛於民、主以得救之人、日增其會焉、
