My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,so that your faith might not be based on human wisdom but on God’s power.

Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful things, not acting deceitfully or distorting the word of God, but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth.

For it is said,“ His letters are weighty and powerful, but his physical presence is weak and his public speaking amounts to nothing.”
