第有一事、頗欲以吾主耶穌基督之名義、奉勸兄弟；惟望爾等精誠團結、眾口同辭兄弟之間不可有絲毫分裂；務須一心一德、和衷共濟。

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Brothers and sisters, I make my appeal to you. I do this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I ask that all of you agree with one another in what you say. I ask that you don’t take sides. I ask that you are in complete agreement in all that you think.

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

夫爾等既宗基督、能無所興奮乎？既懷愛德、能無所慰勉乎？既有聖神、能無感應乎？既有心肝、能無同情乎？如其有之、則當有以成全吾之神樂也。惟望爾等同心同德、精神團結、毋分黨派、毋爭虛榮；謙卑自牧、先人後己；毋各自為謀、當休戚相關、而和衷共濟也。

是故吾以因主被囚之身、剴切勸爾修身砥行、無忝爾之聖召、謙卑溫恭、足以有容、彼此涵忍於愛德之中；以和平相維繫、務求精誠團結、合為一體、融於一神。蓋爾等蒙召之時、固受有同一希望、同一恩主、同一信條、同一洗禮、同一真宰、即萬有之父、超乎萬有、貫乎萬有、而寓乎萬有者也。然吾人亦各按基督之權衡、受有特寵焉。

庶幾一身之中、不生嫌隙、四肢百體咸能休戚相關、互相愛護耳。

爾中如有聰明睿智之人、宜以高尚之德行、及溫和之精神、彰其智慧。若爾心中尚存忌刻好勝之意、則勿自誇為智、以欺真理。此之為智、非自上來、乃出自世俗、血氣與魔鬼耳。蓋一有忌刻好勝之心、則必啟爭端、而生紛亂、放僻邪侈、無不為已。惟智慧之自上來者、本質純粹、故其為德也、和平雍容、溫柔恭順、富於惻隱、多結善果、而無偏激矯情之弊。和平之人、寧靜播種弗助弗忘、終必收穫正義之果也。

同心一德、無分彼此。毋好高而鶩遠、宜謙卑以自牧。妄自尊大、非所宜也；

弟兄同居樂無涯。

凡怨恨忿怒、諠鬧毀謗、以及一切惡意、皆爾所應痛絕。彼此當以忠厚相待、慈悲為懷、互相寬恕、亦如天主之因基督而寬恕於爾也。

總之、吾望兄弟皆能怡怡欣欣、灑然而樂、互相淬礪切磋、俾爾成為完人。更望同心一德、相親相愛；則仁愛和平之天主、必與爾俱矣。

務懇我兄弟謹防一般離間人心、引人陷罪、背叛爾向所受之教義者；望避之若浼也。

所望爾等立身處世、日用之間、在在以無忝基督之福音為念；且不僅於爾我相晤時為然、即暫相睽隔、亦願聞爾等團結一致、堅立不移、

此予之所以懇爾以予為則也。

是則吾儕代表基督、而為天主之星使、不啻天主假吾儕之口而作勸勉焉。因此、吾儕代表基督、剴切求爾、速與天主重歡。

聞爾等聚會時、彼此之間、分別黨派、議論紛紜。我亦略信此言；

兄弟乎、我憑天主之仁慈、剴切求爾獻身天主、而為有生之犧牲、聖潔無疵、以邀天主之悅納；此即內心事主之道也。

兄弟乎、曩者吾儕示爾應如何立身處世、以慰悅天主；爾已拳拳服膺。茲復因主耶穌、奉勸兄弟、發憤加勉、勇猛精進。吾儕承主耶穌之命、所授於爾之規箴、爾固知之。

關於吾主耶穌基督重臨、及吾人與之團聚之事、

信者一德一心、未嘗私其所有、而不公諸同享者。

務乞我兄弟敬之重之、念彼勞苦、予以愛戴。兄弟相處、

總之、爾等皆宜一心一德、富有同情、篤於友愛、慈祥愷悌、謙卑自牧。勿可以惡報惡、以暴酬暴。要之、咒罵由人、祝福在我；庶幾無忝聖召、自求多福。

予體彼、而父體予、務使彼眾精誠團結、化成一體、庶幾世人知父確曾遣予、且知父愛吾徒、一如愛予。

予茲授爾以新誡、即彼此相愛是已、務以予之所以愛爾者、彼此相愛也。爾能彼此相愛、此正所以使眾人咸識爾為吾徒也。』

但願涵弘光大、普天仰望之天主、賜爾等一心一德、以事基督；庶幾眾口同聲、歸榮於吾主耶穌基督之天主聖父。

親愛之同道乎、人生在世、猶如作客他鄉、務望自愛、切弗縱情恣慾、以戕賊心靈。

惟無論吾人之造詣如何、知行務求相契耳。

人未有以新布補舊衣者、恐新布頓縮、反損舊衣、而破綻益甚。

人未有以新布補舊衣者、恐補之反以損之、而裂痕彌深。

茲者我葆樂本人、欲憑基督之溫柔謙恭、有所求於爾焉。頗聞人言、予與爾相處、晤時則恭、暌時則踞。

一時眾遂因耶穌而議論紛紜、莫衷一是、

兄弟乎、我懇切求爾同化於予、亦如予同化於爾也。夫兄弟之待我、非不厚也、

惟為成全愛德、寧以勸勉出之。我葆樂已龍鍾老矣；今且為基督耶穌之故、而遭受禁錮；但欲憑此、而為吾兒阿乃西謨、向爾懇求阿乃西謨者、乃予縲絏中所生之愛兒也。

法利塞人中有曰：『此人不守安息日、決非自天主來者。』或曰：『罪人焉能行此靈蹟？』彼此頗持異同。

予在天主及黜陟幽明者、基督耶穌明鑒之下、且以基督之重臨及乘權為質、剴切命汝、

猶太人因是語又起紛爭、

尚懇兄弟因吾主耶穌基督且憑聖神之愛德、為我祈禱天主、

然吾儕以參贊化育之身、亦有所懇求、深望爾等莫辜負天主之恩寵。

我在天主與基督耶穌、以及蒙簡天神明鑒之下剴切誡汝、蠲除成見、遵守此訓、處事無偏。
