耶希伊利的两个儿子西坦和约珥负责管理耶和华殿里的库房。暗兰族、以斯哈族、希伯仑族、乌歇族也各有其职。摩西的孙子——革舜的儿子细布业是库房的主管。细布业的亲族有以利以谢，以利以谢的儿子是利哈比雅，利哈比雅的儿子是耶筛亚，耶筛亚的儿子是约兰，约兰的儿子是细基利，细基利的儿子是示罗密。示罗密及其亲族负责管理库房中的奉献之物，这些物品是大卫王、众族长、千夫长、百夫长和将领献给上帝的圣物。

王及其谋士和将领，以及所有在场的以色列人献给我们上帝殿的金银和器皿，我都秤了交给他们。我交给他们的有二十二吨银子、三点四吨银器、三点四吨金子、共重八公斤半的二十个金碗和两件贵重如金子的上等精铜器皿。我对他们说：“你们和这些器皿是献给耶和华的，金银是自愿献给你们祖先的上帝耶和华的礼物。你们要好好保管，护送到耶路撒冷耶和华殿的库房里，要在祭司长、利未人和以色列的各族长面前过秤。”于是，祭司和利未人接过这些称过的金银和器皿，要带去耶路撒冷我们上帝的殿里。

这事之前，被委派负责上帝殿库房的以利亚实祭司因与多比雅是亲戚，就为多比雅预备了一个大房间，这房间从前用来存放素祭、乳香、器皿，按律法给利未人、歌乐手、殿门守卫的十分之一五谷、新酒和新油，以及给祭司的举祭。
