命令一出，以色列人就把初熟的五谷、新酒、新油、蜜和田地的出产多多送来；他们把各样出产的十分之一大量送来。住犹大各城的以色列人和犹大人也将牛羊的十分之一，以及分别为圣归耶和华—他们神之物，就是十分取一之物，尽都送来，积成一堆一堆；他们从三月开始堆积，到七月才完成。希西家和众领袖来，看见这些堆积物，就称颂耶和华，又为耶和华的百姓以色列祝福。希西家向祭司和利未人查问这些堆积物。撒督家的亚撒利雅祭司长告诉他说：“自从礼物开始送到耶和华的殿以来，我们不但吃饱，而且剩下的很多；因为耶和华赐福给他的百姓，所剩下的才这样丰盛。”希西家吩咐要在耶和华殿里预备仓房，他们就预备了。他们诚心将礼物，十分取一之物，就是分别为圣之物，都搬入仓内。利未人歌楠雅主管这事，他的兄弟示每是副主管。

利未人中有亚希雅管理神殿的库房和圣物的库房。拉但子孙中，革顺族属拉但、作族长的是革顺族属拉但的耶希伊利。耶希伊利的儿子西坦和他兄弟约珥管理耶和华殿的库房。暗兰人、以斯哈人、希伯伦人、乌薛人也有职务。摩西的孙子，革舜的儿子细布业管理库房。还有他的弟兄：以利以谢，以利以谢的儿子利哈比雅，利哈比雅的儿子耶筛亚，耶筛亚的儿子约兰，约兰的儿子细基利，细基利的儿子示罗密。这示罗密和他的兄弟管理一切库房的圣物，就是大卫王和众族长、千夫长、百夫长，以及军官所分别为圣之物。他们把打仗时夺取的一些财物分别为圣，用来修造耶和华的殿。

为多比雅预备了一间大屋子，就是从前收存素祭、乳香、器皿，和照例供给利未人、歌唱者、门口守卫的五谷、新酒和新油的十分之一，以及归祭司之举祭的屋子。
