Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his fellow gatekeepers from his family( the Korahites) were responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tent just as their ancestors had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the dwelling of the Lord.

Shallum was the son of Kore. Kore was the son of Ebiasaph. Ebiasaph was the son of Korah. Shallum and the other Levites in his family belonged to the family line of Korah. They had the duty of guarding the entrances to the tent. From long ago, their people had the duty of guarding the entrance to the house of the Lord.

Shallum the son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his kinsmen of his fathers’ house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, as their fathers had been in charge of the camp of the Lord, keepers of the entrance.

Shallum was the son of Kore, a descendant of Abiasaph, from the clan of Korah. He and his relatives, the Korahites, were responsible for guarding the entrance to the sanctuary, just as their ancestors had guarded the Tabernacle in the camp of the Lord.

Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah and his relatives from his ancestral family, the Korahites, were assigned to guard the thresholds of the tent. Their ancestors had been assigned to the LORD’s camp as guardians of the entrance.

你们要这样行：你们中间每逢安息日来值班的祭司和利未人，三分之一要把守各门；三分之一要在王宫，三分之一要在基址门；全体人民都要在耶和华殿的院子里。除了祭司和供职的利未人以外，任何人不得进入耶和华的殿，只有他们可以进去，因为他们是分别为圣的；全体人民都要遵守耶和华的吩咐。利未人要在周围环绕君王，各人手里拿着武器；擅自进殿的，都必被处死；王出入的时候，你们都要随着他。”利未人和犹大众人都照着耶何耶大祭司吩咐的一切去行；他们各人带着在安息日值班或在安息日下班的人来，因为耶何耶大祭司不准他们下班。于是耶何耶大祭司把神的殿里，原本属于大卫王的矛枪、大盾和小盾，交给了众百夫长；他又分派众民，手中各拿兵器，守在祭坛和殿的四周，从殿的右面到殿的左面，环绕着王。

哥辖的子孙如下：哥辖的儿子是亚米拿达，亚米拿达的儿子是可拉，可拉的儿子是亚惜，亚惜的儿子是以利加拿，以利加拿的儿子是以比雅撒，以比雅撒的儿子是亚惜，

以利押的儿子是尼母利、大坍、亚比兰。这大坍和亚比兰原是从会众中选拔出来的，他们和可拉一党的人一起与耶和华争吵，也与摩西和亚伦争吵的时候，地开了口，把他们和可拉吞了下去；可拉与他的同党都死了，那时有火吞灭了二百五十个人，他们成了警戒。但是，可拉的子孙却没有死亡。

耶何耶大祭司吩咐众百夫长，就是统领军兵的，对他们说：“把她从各班军兵中赶出去，跟随她的，都要用刀杀死。”因为祭司说：“不可在耶和华的殿内杀死她。”

他们无论大小，都按着他们的家族抽签，看守各门。抽出守东门的签的是示利米雅。他的儿子撒迦利亚是个聪明的谋士，他们为他抽出了守北面的签。俄别．以东守南门；他的儿子守库房。书聘和何萨守西门，以及在斜路上的沙利基门；守卫的人相对而立。守东门的有六个利未人，守北门的每日有四人，守南门的每日有四人，守库房的两人一组。在西面的前廊有四人在大路上，在前廊那里有两个人。以上这些人是可拉子孙和米拉利子孙守门的人的班次。

神啊！你在古时，在我们列祖的日子所作的事，我们亲耳听见了，我们的列祖也给我们述说过。

万民哪！你们要听这话；世上的居民哪！你们要留心听。

于是众百夫长照着耶何耶大祭司的一切吩咐去行。他们各自率领人马，无论在安息日值班或不用当值的，都来到耶何耶大祭司那里。

神啊！我的心渴慕你，好像鹿渴慕溪水。

在你院子里住一日，胜过在别处住千日；宁愿站在我神殿中的门槛上，也不愿住在恶人的帐棚里。
