These were the locations of their settlements allotted as their territory( they were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clan, because the first lot was for them):

Here were the places where they made their homes. These places were given to them as their territory. Some were given to the children of Aaron who were from the family group of Kohath. They were given out by casting lots. The first lot was for Kohath.

These are their dwelling places according to their settlements within their borders: to the sons of Aaron of the clans of Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

This is a record of the towns and territory assigned by means of sacred lots to the descendants of Aaron, who were from the clan of Kohath.

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s descendants from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these are their settlements according to their camps within their borders. To the sons of Aaron of the families of the Kohathites( for theirs was the first lot),

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s sons from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these[ are] their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

These were the areas where Aaron’s descendants lived: The following belonged to the Kohathite clan, for they received the first allotment:

永恆主在摩押原野、約但河邊、耶利哥對面、告訴摩西說：『你要吩咐以色列人從所得為產業的地之中、把城市給利未人居住，也把城市四圍的牧場給利未人。城市要給他們居住，城外的牧場可以供應他們的牲口、跟活財物、和各樣動物。你們給利未人的城外牧場要從城牆根起、四圍往外量一千肘。要往城外量：東面二千肘，南面二千肘，西面二千肘，北面二千肘；城在當中；這要給他們做城外牧場。你們給利未人的城、其中要有六座逃罪城，讓殺人的可以逃到那裏；此外還要給他們四十二座城。你們要給利未人的城、共有四十八座，連城帶牧場、都要給他們。從以色列人的地業中、你們所要給的城、人多的支派要多給，人少的支派要少給：各支派要按所承受的產業、把城給利未人。』

將他們住的地方所有的城市、和所有的營房都用火焚燒；

於是以色列人照永恆主所吩咐的、從自己的產業中、將以下這些城、和城外牧場、給了利未人。為哥轄家族拈出鬮來：利未人中祭司亞倫的子孫、從猶大支派、西緬支派、和便雅憫支派、憑拈鬮得了十三座城。哥轄其餘的子孫、從以法蓮支派家族、和但支派、跟瑪拿西半個支派、憑拈鬮得了十座城。革順的子孫、從以薩迦支派家族、和亞設支派、拿弗他利支派、跟巴珊中的瑪拿西半個支派、憑拈鬮得了十三座城。米拉利的子孫、按家族、從如便支派、迦得支派、和西布倫支派、拈得了十二座城。以色列人、憑拈鬮將以下這些城和城外牧場、分給利未人，照永恆主由摩西經手所吩咐的。
