These were the locations of their settlements allotted as their territory( they were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clan, because the first lot was for them):

Here were the places where they made their homes. These places were given to them as their territory. Some were given to the children of Aaron who were from the family group of Kohath. They were given out by casting lots. The first lot was for Kohath.

These are their dwelling places according to their settlements within their borders: to the sons of Aaron of the clans of Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

This is a record of the towns and territory assigned by means of sacred lots to the descendants of Aaron, who were from the clan of Kohath.

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s descendants from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these are their settlements according to their camps within their borders. To the sons of Aaron of the families of the Kohathites( for theirs was the first lot),

Now these are their dwelling places throughout their settlements in their territory, for they were given by lot to the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathites:

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s sons from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these[ are] their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

These were the areas where Aaron’s descendants lived: The following belonged to the Kohathite clan, for they received the first allotment:

這是以實瑪利眾子的名字，照着他們的村莊、營寨，作了十二族的族長。

耶和華在摩押平原－約旦河邊、耶利哥對面曉諭摩西說：「你吩咐以色列人，要從所得為業的地中把些城給利未人居住，也要把這城四圍的郊野給利未人。這城邑要歸他們居住，城邑的郊野可以牧養他們的牛羊和各樣的牲畜，又可以安置他們的財物。你們給利未人的郊野，要從城根起，四圍往外量一千肘。另外東量二千肘，南量二千肘，西量二千肘，北量二千肘，為邊界，城在當中；這要歸他們作城邑的郊野。你們給利未人的城邑，其中當有六座逃城，使誤殺人的可以逃到那裏。此外還要給他們四十二座城。你們要給利未人的城，共有四十八座，連城帶郊野都要給他們。以色列人所得的地業從中要把些城邑給利未人；人多的就多給，人少的就少給；各支派要按所承受為業之地把城邑給利未人。」

又用火焚燒他們所住的城邑和所有的營寨，

於是以色列人照耶和華所吩咐的，從自己的地業中，將以下所記的城邑和城邑的郊野給了利未人。為哥轄族拈鬮：利未人的祭司、亞倫的子孫，從猶大支派、西緬支派、便雅憫支派的地業中，按鬮得了十三座城。哥轄其餘的子孫，從以法蓮支派、但支派、瑪拿西半支派的地業中，按鬮得了十座城。革順的子孫，從以薩迦支派、亞設支派、拿弗他利支派、住巴珊的瑪拿西半支派的地業中，按鬮得了十三座城。米拉利的子孫，按着宗族，從呂便支派、迦得支派、西布倫支派的地業中，按鬮得了十二座城。以色列人照着耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的，將這些城邑和城邑的郊野，按鬮分給利未人。
