These were the locations of their settlements allotted as their territory( they were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clan, because the first lot was for them):

Here were the places where they made their homes. These places were given to them as their territory. Some were given to the children of Aaron who were from the family group of Kohath. They were given out by casting lots. The first lot was for Kohath.

These are their dwelling places according to their settlements within their borders: to the sons of Aaron of the clans of Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

This is a record of the towns and territory assigned by means of sacred lots to the descendants of Aaron, who were from the clan of Kohath.

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s descendants from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these are their settlements according to their camps within their borders. To the sons of Aaron of the families of the Kohathites( for theirs was the first lot),

Now these are their dwelling places throughout their settlements in their territory, for they were given by lot to the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathites:

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s sons from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these[ are] their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

These were the areas where Aaron’s descendants lived: The following belonged to the Kohathite clan, for they received the first allotment:

耶和华在摩押平原、约旦河边、耶利哥对面晓谕摩西说：“你吩咐以色列人，要从所得为业的地中把些城给利未人居住，也要把这城四围的郊野给利未人。这城邑要归他们居住，城邑的郊野可以牧养他们的牛羊和各样的牲畜，又可以安置他们的财物。你们给利未人的郊野，要从城根起，四围往外量一千肘。另外东量二千肘，南量二千肘，西量二千肘，北量二千肘，为边界，城在当中；这要归他们作城邑的郊野。你们给利未人的城邑，其中当有六座逃城，使误杀人的可以逃到那里。此外还要给他们四十二座城。你们要给利未人的城，共有四十八座，连城带郊野都要给他们。以色列人所得的地业从中要把些城邑给利未人；人多的就多给，人少的就少给；各支派要按所承受为业之地把城邑给利未人。”

又用火焚烧他们所住的城邑和所有的营寨，

于是以色列人照耶和华所吩咐的，从自己的地业中，将以下所记的城邑和城邑的郊野给了利未人。为哥辖族拈阄：利未人的祭司、亚伦的子孙，从犹大支派、西缅支派、便雅悯支派的地业中，按阄得了十三座城。哥辖其余的子孙，从以法莲支派、但支派、玛拿西半支派的地业中，按阄得了十座城。革顺的子孙，从以萨迦支派、亚设支派、拿弗他利支派、住巴珊的玛拿西半支派的地业中，按阄得了十三座城。米拉利的子孙，按着宗族，从流便支派、迦得支派、西布伦支派的地业中，按阄得了十二座城。以色列人照着耶和华藉摩西所吩咐的，将这些城邑和城邑的郊野，按阄分给利未人。
