These were the locations of their settlements allotted as their territory( they were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clan, because the first lot was for them):

Here were the places where they made their homes. These places were given to them as their territory. Some were given to the children of Aaron who were from the family group of Kohath. They were given out by casting lots. The first lot was for Kohath.

These are their dwelling places according to their settlements within their borders: to the sons of Aaron of the clans of Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

This is a record of the towns and territory assigned by means of sacred lots to the descendants of Aaron, who were from the clan of Kohath.

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s descendants from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these are their settlements according to their camps within their borders. To the sons of Aaron of the families of the Kohathites( for theirs was the first lot),

Now these are their dwelling places throughout their settlements in their territory, for they were given by lot to the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathites:

Now these are their dwelling- places according to their encampments in their borders: to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites( for theirs was the first lot),

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s sons from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these[ are] their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

These were the areas where Aaron’s descendants lived: The following belonged to the Kohathite clan, for they received the first allotment:

他這十二個兒子後來分別成了十二個族的族長，各有自己的村莊和營寨。

在耶利哥對面、約旦河邊的摩押平原，耶和華對摩西說：「你告訴以色列人，要從分得的產業中把一些城邑及其周圍的草場分給利未人。城邑供他們居住，草場供他們牧放牛羊等牲畜。劃分給利未人的草場是從城牆往外延伸四百五十米，要以城為中心，東南西北四郊每邊向外量九百米作利未人的草場。要分給利未人四十二座城邑，另外再加六座供誤殺人者躲避的避難城，共四十八座城邑，包括城周圍的草場。以色列各支派要從自己承受的產業中分一些城邑給利未人，人多的支派多給，人少的支派少給。」

將他們的城邑營寨付之一炬，

以色列人便按照耶和華的吩咐，從他們的產業中把以下的城邑及城郊分給了利未人。利未人哥轄宗族中大祭司亞倫的子孫從猶大、西緬和便雅憫支派的產業中抽籤得了十三座城。哥轄宗族中其他的人也從以法蓮、但和瑪拿西半個支派的產業中抽籤得了十座城。革順的子孫從以薩迦、亞設、拿弗他利和在巴珊的瑪拿西半個支派的產業中抽籤得了十三座城。米拉利的子孫按宗族從呂便、迦得和西布倫支派的產業中抽籤得了十二座城。以色列人照耶和華對摩西的吩咐，把這些城邑及其草場用抽籤的方式分給利未人。
