Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.

雅比斯籲以色列之上帝曰、願爾錫我福祉、擴我土宇、扶我以手、俾免遭難遇苦、上帝允其所祈、

雅必禱以色列族之上帝、曰、願爾錫嘏於我、恢擴四境、眷祐乎我、免遭患難、毫無所憂。上帝允其所祈。

雅比斯禱以色列之天主曰、求主賜福於我、廣我境土、常眷祐我、免我遭患難、有愁苦、天主允其所求、

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel. He said,“ I wish you would bless me. I wish you would give me more territory. Let your power protect me. Keep me from harm. Then I won’t have any pain.” God gave him what he asked for.

Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would bless me, extend my border, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not experience pain.” And God granted his request.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,“ Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel:“ If only You would bless me, extend my border, let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not cause any pain.” And God granted his request.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep[ me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!” God answered his prayer.

Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border! May your hand be with me, and may you keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” God granted him that which he requested.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.Or what person is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my pleas.Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.The snares of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.Then I called upon the name of the Lord:“ Please, Lord, save my life!”

It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.

and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

‘ Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Let Your hand be ready to help me, For I have chosen Your precepts.

But God has heard; He has given attention to the sound of my prayer.Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer Nor His favor from me.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

He asked for life from You, You gave it to him, Length of days forever and ever.

“ The poor and needy are seeking water, but there is none, And their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the Lord, will answer them Myself; As the God of Israel I will not abandon them.

As for me, I shall call upon God, And the Lord will save me.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;for“ Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? Then he erected there an altar and called it El Elohe Israel.

For though it is a forest, you shall clear it, and to its farthest borders it shall be yours; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, even though they have iron chariots and though they are strong.”

And now, Lord my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am like a little boy; I do not know how to go out or come in.And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people who are too many to be numbered or counted.So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, to discern between good and evil. For who is capable of judging this great people of Yours?”Now it was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing.And God said to him,“ Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself a long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the lives of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice,behold, I have done according to your words. The angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the boys; And may my name live on in them, And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And may they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

Let me hear joy and gladness, Let the bones You have broken rejoice.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, And Samuel was among those who called on His name; They called upon the Lord and He answered them.

And I will make you into a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing;

You who hear prayer, To You all mankind comes.

Then he said,“ Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said,“ I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord.

You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; And you will pay your vows.You will also decide something, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways.

Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make His deeds known among the peoples.

But Manasseh did not take possession of Beth shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages; so the Canaanites persisted in living in this land.And it came about, when Israel became strong, that they put the Canaanites to forced labor; but they did not drive them out completely.And Ephraim did not drive out the Canaanites who were living in Gezer; so the Canaanites lived in Gezer among them.Zebulun did not drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, or the inhabitants of Nahalol; so the Canaanites lived among them and became subject to forced labor.Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of Acco, or the inhabitants of Sidon, or of Ahlab, or of Achzib, Helbah, Aphik, or of Rehob.So the Asherites lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land; for they did not drive them out.Naphtali did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth shemesh, or the inhabitants of Beth anath, but lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land; and the inhabitants of Beth shemesh and Beth anath became forced labor for them.Then the Amorites forced the sons of Dan into the hill country, for they did not allow them to come down to the valley;yet the Amorites persisted in living on Mount Heres, in Aijalon and Shaalbim; but when the power of the house of Joseph grew strong, they became forced labor.The border of the Amorites ran from the ascent of Akrabbim, from Sela and upward.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And sustain me with a willing spirit.

saying,“ If you had known on this day, even you, the conditions for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.

Then Eli answered and said,“ Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your request that you have asked of Him.”

Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion,

I am a joke to my friends, The one who called on God and He answered him; The just and blameless man is a joke.

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’

God raised up His Servant for you first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.”

For the report of your obedience has reached everyone; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent in what is evil.

He* said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was hurt because He said to him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him,“ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus* said to him,“ Tend My sheep.

Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.

But I decided this for my own sake, that I would not come to you in sorrow again.For if I cause you sorrow, who then will be the one making me glad but the one who is made sorrowful by me?This is the very thing I wrote you, so that when I came, I would not have sorrow from those who ought to make me rejoice; having confidence in you all that my joy was the joy of you all.For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears; not so that you would be made sorrowful, but that you might know the love which I have especially for you.But if anyone has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not for me, but in some degree— not to say too much— for all of you.Sufficient for such a person is this punishment which was imposed by the majority,so that on the other hand, you should rather forgive and comfort him, otherwise such a person might be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
